Enrique is aware of the interest the Brazilian international is attracting but is refusing to reveal if the club will retain the full-back's services.

Speaking ahead of Barcelona's La Liga match against Grenada, he said: “Every match is very difficult.

“Our opponents come into this match in need of points and have always made life difficult for us.

“As you reach the end of the season, earning points is compulsory. We want to create chances on the break and base ourselves on a good defence.

“Dani’s one of the nicest guys in the dressing room and a winner.

“I know him both professionally and personally. He’s a true example to everyone [at the club].

“It wasn’t the first time he left the pitch sad or angry. It happens to many players."
