LOYAL GUNNER: Podolski insists he has no plans to jump ship and join rivals Tottenham [AFP]

The German ace has been linked with a £10m move to Arsenal's north London rivals in recent days, but it now appears there is little chance of a deal going through.

In response to a BBC Tweet linking to the story about his possible move to White Hart Lane, Podolski responded by writing: "Hell will freeze over before this transfer would happen. #Poldi #aha #AlwaysAGunner #NeverCheatYourClub #AFC #Redarmy".

Podolski has struggled for first-team action this season, leading to speculation that he may demand a transfer away in January.

The German ace said recently: "I have assessed my position in the team, and it has to change now.

"Let's see what happens in the winter. The fact is that I'm not happy with it, that's clear."

Podolski joined Arsenal from Cologne in 2012 for a fee in the region of £10m.

He helped the club to FA Cup glory earlier this year, and won the World Cup with Germany this summer.
