NEW BOY: Kevin Stewart has joined Liverpool on a two-year deal [GETTY]

The Reds have spent the summer overhauling their squad with big-money additions.

They paid £50m for Southampton trio Adam Lallana, Dejan Lovren and Rickie Lambert while Emre Can signed for £10m from Bayer Leverkusen.

Flying winger Lazar Markovic set the Kop back another £20m.

And those five are joined by a lesser-known prospect.

Liverpool moved to sign Kevin Stewart earlier this month from Premier League rivals Tottenham.

The 20-year-old has been tipped for a bright future and made the first-team bench for Spurs back in 2011 for a Europa League game.

However, he failed to make a first-team appearance at White Hart Lane and spent last season on loan at Crewe Alexandra.

Stewart was picked up by Liverpool Under-21 coach Alex Inglethorpe, an ex-coach at Spurs.

The 5ft 7ins defender, who can play across the back four, has penned a two-year deal at Anfield.
