ROBERT LEWANDOWSKI has signed a five-year deal to join Bayern Munich at the end of the season.

The Borussia Dortmund star, 25, was out of contract in the summer and had hinted he was interested in a move to the Premier League.

Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and City were all eyeing up the Polish star, renowned as one of the most dangerous strikers in world football.

However, Lewandowski has opted to stay in Germany and join Bayern.

The Champions League holders announced the news this evening.
