Brighton are confident of wrapping up a loan deal for Leicester City striker Leonardo Ulloa which will see them pay a £1million fee to keep the 31-year-old for the rest of the season.
Ulloa, a member of Leicester's squad when they won the Premier League title two seasons ago, has barely featured for the club this season.
Seagulls manager Chris Hughton believes the Argentine can help his club who currently have the second-worst scoring record in the division.

Brighton broke their club transfer record by signing Jurgen Locadia for £14million last week but Hughton still feels he needs more firepower in Brighton's battle against relegation.
Ulloa originally moved to Leicester from Brighton in 2014 following two successful seasons in the Championship. He scored 26 goals in 58 appearances before sealing an £8m move to the King Power Stadium.
Another of their strikers, Glenn Murray, was arrested last week along with his wife in connection with a suspected £1.1million tax fraud.
The striker made a name for himself with the Seagulls before moving to Leicester in 2014
