Simon Jones provides some updates

SIMON JONES:

STOKE CITY are stepping up interest in Galatasaray midfielder badou Ndiaye.

The Senegal international was left out of Saturday's game against Osmanlispor after pleading with the club management to let him leave amid interest from other clubs.

A Galatasaray statement read: 'Badou Ndiaye has received offers from clubs overseas. Badou has been removed from the squad set to face Osmanlispor as he is currently distracted from his on field duties by the transfer talks.'

Ndiaye is rated at around £14million and has also been followed by Crystal Palace, West Ham and Newcastle United.

Stoke, meanwhile, remain in talks with the MLS over a £3.25million deal fror New York City winger Jack Harrison.

BRISTOL CITY have made enquiries for Kilmarnock winger Jordan Jones.

The Northern Ireland international, who started out at Middlesbrough, has been the subject of an offer from Rangers.

The 23-year-old, who has 18 months left on contract, was a former target for Burnley.

Bristol City, meanwhile, are braced for offers from Everton for 24-year-old left-back Joe Bryan.

CHELSEA midfielder Charly Musonda is expected to join Celtic on an 18 month loan following Sunday's FA Cup fourth round tie with Newcastle United.

Chelsea want the 21-year-old to gain more experience playing in the UK while Brendan Rodgers's side can also offer Musonda vital European experience also.

Chelsea midfielder Lewis Baker, who is on loan at Middlesbrough, is wanted by Reading.

Tottenham close in on £22m deal for PSG winger Moura

SIMON JONES: Tottenham's move for Paris St Germain winger Lucas Moura is finely balanced as the clubs haggle over a £22million fee.

Lucas last played for Brazil in 2016 and Tottenham would need to apply for a work permit as part of any transfer. Negotiations are expected to pick up on Monday but with the window closing on Wednesday, there are concerns time could be against them.

The 25-year-old had permission to visit Tottenham's Enfield training ground on Thursday and was suitably impressed by their set-up to want to join. However, despite reports emanating from France and Brazil, a deal has yet to be concluded and talks will have to be accelerated to get the transfer over the line for Wednesday's deadline.

Tottenham maintain an interest in Bordeaux winger Malcom and Fulham's Ryan Sessegnon.

Chelsea to make improved offer for Roma striker Dzeko

SIMON JONES: Chelsea will make an improved offer for Roma striker Edin Dzeko by Monday but need the Bosnia international to compromise over his contract to conclude an agreement.

Chelsea have offered £17.5million for Roma full-back Emerson Palmieri with a further £5.2m in bonuses plus £25m for Dzeko.

Palmieri, 23, has agreed to join but Bosnian striker Dzeko, who is 31, wants a two and a half year contract to match the length of his deal at Roma. Chelsea are understood to be offering an 18 month deal with a year's option.

Antonio Conte wants Dzeko for his squad though there are understandable reservations at Chelsea with the coach highly likely to leave in the summer.

Chelsea have considered other options including Stoke's Peter Crouch and Olivier Giroud, though Arsenal do not wish to sell to a Premier League rival.

Negotiations over Dzeko will also have a knock-on effect to Sevilla's plans for Michy Batshauyi. The Spanish side have given the Belgian an ultimatum to determine his future by the end of Saturday or they will switch to other targets.

Yeovil sign Donnellan

Yeovil Town have announced the signing of West Brom defender Shaun Donnellan on a free transfer until the summer of June 2019.

The defender is the Glovers’ third capture of the weekend and arrives having spent the first half of the season on loan at Sky Bet League One outfit Walsall.

Yeovil manager Darren Way said: 'Coming down from a division higher and with his international experience, Shaun is a fantastic addition to the squad and has a bright future.

'He's been playing with former Glover Joe Edwards so he'll have heard good things about the club and I look forward to working with him.'

Dortmund tell Arsenal to up their offer for Aubameyang

SIMON JONES: Borussia Dortmund insist Arsenal will have to increase their bid for Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang to £60million if they want to sign him.

Arsenal have so far offered around £50.9million for Aubameyang which has been dismissed by the Bundesliga club.

Arsenal sent chief executive Ivan Gazidis, contracts negotiator Huss Fahmy and head of recruitment Sven Mislintat to negotiate the deal but talks have not gone to plan.

Aubameyang started against Freiburg on Saturday and Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc said: 'We are prepared to implement a transfer under certain parameters - but only if these parameters are fully met. Arsenal has started several attempts so far. We have all rejected so far.

'Either our demands are fulfilled, then there can be another transfer or else they will not be fulfilled and Auba will play in Dortmund until the summer, so it is also discussed and accepted by the Aubameyang family.'

Aubameyang wants to move to Arsenal but also believes they need to push harder to get his deal done while the presence of former Dortmund employee Mislintat is also understood to have been poorly received.

Dortmund may yet revive interest in Olivier Giroud should a deal be struck for Aubameyang but Arsenal do not wish to sell the France international to a Premier League rival despite interest from Chelsea and West Ham.

Laporte completes first part of medical ahead of Manchester City move

SIMON JONES: Aymeric Laporte has undergone the first part of medical checks ahead of his £57million move to Manchester City.

The Athletic Bilbao defender was left out of their squad against Eibar on Friday evening and is due to join City on Tuesday once his buy-out clause is deposited with the Spanish Football Federation.

Laporte said his farewells to teammates at Bilbao on Saturday who signed shirts wishing him well in his next move. The 23-year-old broke his leg and dislocated his ankle in 2016 and underwent an examination, including blood tests, at the Lezama training complex ahead of his proposed transfer.

City are still looking to add Brazilian midfielder Fred from Shakhtar Donetsk this month and have held discussions over the signing of Lille's 18-year-old midfielder Boubakary Soumare and have lined up a summer deal for Paris St Germain's 18-year-old Claudio Gomes.

Everton weigh-up move for Vogt

JACK GAUGHAN: Everton are weighing up a move for Hoffenheim captain Kevin Vogt.

Sam Allardyce wants fresh defensive options given Everton’s fragility at the back and the club have identified the 26-year-old as a potential signing.

Swansea City, bottom of the Premier League, have conceded fewer goals than the Toffees this season.

Sportsmail understands Vogt is on their radar, although interest is believed to be with a view to a summer switch.

Vogt is thought to have impressed during Hoffenheim’s Champions League first leg with Liverpool in August.

Uncapped by Germany, the former Koln man is comfortable on the ball having previously played in midfield.

Brighton to pay £1m loan fee to take Leonardo Ulloa from Leicester

JOE BERNSTEIN: Brighton are confident of wrapping up a loan deal for Leicester City striker Leonardo Ulloa which will see them pay a £1million fee to keep the 31-year-old for the rest of the season.

Ulloa, a member of Leicester's squad when they won the Premier League title two seasons ago, has barely featured for the club this season and Seagulls manager Chris Hughton believes the Argentine can help his club which has the second-worst scoring record in the division.

Brighton broke their club transfer record by signing Jurgen Locadia for £14million last week but Hughton still feels he needs more firepower in Brighton's battle against relegation.

Another of their strikers, Glenn Murray, was arrested last week along with his wife in connection with a suspected £1.1million tax fraud.
