Crystal Palace have opened talks with Inter Milan over the proposed £8.5million sale of Eder.
The 31-year-old Italian came on as a substitute in Inter's 1-1 draw with Roma on Sunday but is being sold to help raise funds.
Inter want to sign Daniel Sturridge but have yet to agree on the terms with Liverpool wanting a £2million loan fee and £25million guaranteed payment in the summer.

Sevilla are also keen on signing Sturridge but have yet to put forward a similar package.
Eder, meanwhile, has also been a target for West Ham and Swansea in recent seasons. He has 26 caps for Italy and six international goals to his name.
Palace have signed Swedish Under-21 midfielder Erdal Rakip on loan from Benfica until the end of the season.
The 21-year-old moved to the Portuguese club from Malmo earlier this month and becomes Roy Hodgson’s first signing of the transfer window.
Hodgson is also closing on a deal for Polish centre-back Jaroslaw Jach, 23, who is in London to complete a £2million move from Zaglebie Lubin and sign a three-and-a-half contract.
