West Ham 1-0 Shrewsbury, RESULT: Reece Burke strikes in extra time while Leicester dump out Fleetwood among other FA Cup third round replays
- Reece Burke struck late in extra time to give West Ham win over Shrewsbury
- Leicester City score first VAR goal after defeating Fleetwood Town 2-0
- Cardiff City set up Manchester City tie after beating Mansfield Town 4-1
- Reading change kits at half-time in 3-0 win over Stevenage at Madejski Stadium
- Royals will face Sheffield Wednesday in fourth round after Owls beat Carlisle 2-0
- There were five FA Cup third round replays contested through the night
Because tomorrow night there are three more ties including Chelsea's clash with Norwich City as well as Swansea City vs Wolverhampton Wanderers and Bournemouth against Wigan Athletic.
That's all from me here though. Thanks for following and cheerio.
Five games and five wins for the higher ranked teams on a night when upsets were teased but never really came close to being produced.
West Ham United will now travel to Bournemouth or Wigan Athletic as a result of their extra time win.
Elsewhere in the fourth round ties, Leicester City now visit Peterborough United, Cardiff City will host Manchester City while Sheffield Wednesday will entertain Reading.
There doesn't look like a way back for Shrewsbury. There are just a few seconds left and West Ham have a corner.
What a way to score your first ever West Ham goal! Toni Martinez keeps a corner alive before Reece Burke lashes home a half volley from inside the box. Shrewsbury Town have seven minutes to find a response and force penalties...
Play restarts at the London Stadium. We are 15 minutes away from a penalty shootout unless we see a goal...
I know it's the middle of January but it's not that cold is it? Unless there is some medical reason that I'm ignorant to.
What an inspired substitution! Bolton gets straight into the action to make a crucial goalline block for Shrewsbury to deny Manuel Lanzini an opening goal before Dean Henderson pounces on the afters.
A fairly low key first half in extra time so far. I of course have forgotten about the new fourth substitute rule in extra time and Shrewsbury Town take advantage of it as James Bolton replaces Max Lowe for the visitors.
Thirty minutes of extra-time are underway at the London Stadium where League One side Shrewsbury Town continue to hold West Ham United. Both sides have made all their substitutions.
Extra-time to be played
'It’s a hat-trick for Jon Dadi Bodvarsson and this Cup tie has now well and truly been put to bed. And it’s a hat-trick of Chris Gunter assists as well, this time a slide-rule cross from the left that the Icelandic striker couldn’t not convert just a few yards out.'
It really is all over now at the One Call Stadium. Junior Hoilett grabbing his second goal of the game.
Time for some FA Cup romance. The game is won but Claude Puel plays to the spirit of the cup as he sends on Jamie Vardy against his former club, much to the delight of the away fans who applaud their former striker onto the field in place of Iheanacho.
It's a simple tap-in for Jon Dadi Bodvarsson who grabs his hat-trick and in all likely sets up a fourth round tie with Sheffield Wednesday.
It's a history making goal. Kelechi Iheanacho becomes the first player to score via help of the VAR.
The striker had been ruled offside after running in to slot home, but after a look at the replays he is just fractionally onside and thus a goal is given!
Just the one game without a goal and David Moyes is doing his best to try and change that as he sends on Marko Arnautovic and Mark Noble for Andre Ayew and Reece Oxford.
Some tired legs among the hosts now as Anthony Pilkington picks out the bottom corner from inside the box to double Cardiff's advantage and take a step closer to hosting Manchester City in round four.
Cardiff retake the lead at Mansfield, with Junior Hoilett firing home with 24 minutes to play.
As it stands it looks like Sheffield Wednesday and Reading are on course to meet in the fourth round as Atdhe Nuhiu calmly slots home after being played in my Marco Matias.
'Islam Slimani did not look happy being withdrawn after 55 minutes for Marc Albrightomn and you can hardly blame him.
'Leicester’s record signing had shown plenty of willing and laid on a good pass for the goal.
'But he badly did miss an excellent chance just after the break. He could well be on the move this month.'
'We’re got a Manchester United at The Dell back in 1995-96 situation here. Well, almost.
'With Reading in their familiar blue and white and Stevenage in a predominantly white change strip with blue shorts, it was pretty difficult to pick out team-mates at times.
'But action has been taken at half-time, with Reading emerging in a bright orange shirt. Maybe they can turn on some of the Total Football their Dutch manager Jaap Stam demands and kill off this Cup tie.'
This is going nowhere. It's good news for Shrewsbury of course who are making a mockery of the two divisions of class that are supposed to separate the teams.
West Ham want a penalty after Manuel Lanzini is brought down but the referee is not interested.
But then City do play the winner of Mansfield vs Cardiff City in the next round, so it's not quite the most random spectator you will ever see at a football ground. Still 1-1 at the One Call Stadium.
'Kelechi Iheanacho hadn’t actually been playing very well until that goal, which was expertly taken. It is that finishing ability that convinced Leicester to pay Manchester City £25million last summer.
'Things haven’t gone smoothly since, with the Nigeria striker not really fitting into Leicester’s style. But ability like that is always useful.'
Kelechi Iheanacho and Islam Slimani are starting to combine quite well now after the first goal.
This time it's the former playing in the latter but Slimani's effort inside the box is just wide.
Here is how Iheanacho opened the scoring...
'Who’s the Dadi? A second goal for Bodvarsson and Reading are suddenly comfortable in this tie.
'An absolute bullet header as well from just a yard or two inside the penalty box, crashing home off the post from Chris Gunter’s cross from the left. Harsh on Stevenage this scoreline, but there we go.'
It is now half-time at the Madejski as the 7.45pm games get back underway...
Reading, who have struggled for much of the first half, are flying now! Jon Dadi Bodvarsson grabs his second goal of the game with a header following another Gunter assist a minute before the break.
'Rarely will you see an opening goal so against the run of play. Reading’s first shot of the night and they have taken the lead. Roy Beerens created it initially, with Chris Gunter’s cross being flicked into the path of Jon Dadi Bodvarsson to finish unmarked.'
...except of course at the Madejski Stadium which kicked off 15 minutes later and now sees Reading looking to add to their lead.

Reading have been pretty abysmal so far tonight, but they are getting the job done as Jon Dadi Bodvarsson gives them the lead, converting after Chris Gunter's cross was flicked on.
Fleetwood have gone toe-to-toe throughout this tie with their Premier League opponents, but one moment of concentration lapse has cost them.
Islam Slimani all too easily plays in Kelechi Iheanacho on goal, who after cantering into the box slots a shot through the legs of Chris Neal. Top finish.

'Stevenage have looked more like the Championship outfit in the opening stages here, with Reading pretty abysmal so far.
'Matt Godden, who has scored 13 times this season, headed the ball home from a Joe Martin free-kick but was standing in an offside position.
'And the same player has just been denied at point-blank range by Reading keeper Anssi Jaakkola. The League Two side well on top.'
...only for Danny Rose to level the scores a minute later following a Hayden White cross.
Here come the goals. Cardiff did take the lead at the One Call Stadium through Bruno Ecuele Manga...
Finally, a goal! Marco Matias makes no mistake after running onto an Atdhe Nuhiu knock on before lashing home.
Close from Fleetwood! McAleny leads a breakaway for the League One side, but after cutting onto his right foot his low shot across goal towards the bottom corner is well beaten away by Eldin Jakupovic.
Good news, the ball has found the net somewhere. Bad news, it's not given due to Matt Godden being offside as he glanced home a header for Stevenage. That's about as good as it gets so far...
Anthony Pilkington is always good value for a long range strike, but not even he can break the replay deadlock as he lashes just wide from distance.
Kelechi Iheanacho has become football's forgotten man since leaving Manchester City.
It's his night to make an impression but so far all he has done is pick up a needless booking for his purposeful trip on Conor McAleny.
Manchester City await the winners of this tie, and it's Mansfield keener to set up a tie against the Premier League leaders as Joel Byrom sees an effort well saved by Neil Etheridge.
'Not much evidence of the romance of the FA Cup here at the Madejski Stadium I’m afraid. A sparse crowd on a chilly evening with large swaths of the ground closed completely.
'The pressure has been mounting on Royals boss Jaap Stam for a good while - they haven’t won since December 2 - but he has still made 10 changes here from the side that drew 0-0 at Hull on Saturday.
'The original match between these two sides ended goalless, so we’ll hope for more entertainment this time around.
'The sizeable contingent who have travelled across from Stevenage will no doubt hope for a repeat of their third round Cup win here back in 2012.'
That match has just kicked off...
'Riyad Mahrez is wearing the captain’s armband tonight. A signal he is staying put this window?'
Not much to bring you so far, except that Carlisle have started well at Sheffield Wednesday where Mark Ellis's shot on goal is well stopped by Cameron Dawson.

A late substitute in the original tie, Toni Martinez is one of four Hammers called into the side that drew at Shrewsbury Town.
Sam Byram, Reece Oxford and Manuel Lanzini are also drafted in as Declan Rice, Cheikhou Kouyate and the injured Winston Reid make way.
Claude Puel makes four changes to the Leicester City team that drew at Fleetwood Town, but leaves Jamie Vardy on the bench against his former club.
Kelechi Iheanacho instead comes into the attack, while there are starts for Vicente Iborra, Riyad Mahrez and Christian Fuchs as Andy King, Matty James, Harvey Barnes and the suspended Ben Chilwell make way.
But who will Uwe Rosler select in his starting XI? Team news coming up next...
VAR (Video Assistant Referee) will be in use at the King Power Stadium where Leicester City host Fleetwood Town. With this being only the third competitive match in England that it will be used, it's obviously still a work in progress but will we need it tonight?
"Nonsense" you might say. But look at the fixtures, ok no 'so-called' big teams I give you that.
But all five of evenings fixtures have a potential upset on the cards - including two Premier League outfits - as I welcome you to Sportsmail's live coverage of all the FA Cup action as it happens.
Having escaped League One opposition with a draw last time out, West Ham United and Leicester City will be hoping to book a fourth round spot on a night of FA Cup replays.
The Hammers host Shrewsbury Town at the London Stadium while Claude Puel's side entertain Fleetwood Town at the King Power Stadium on a night featuring five ties.
Elsewhere, it is Mansfield Town vs Cardiff City, Sheffield Wednesday vs Carlisle United and Reading vs Stevenage. Follow all the action here.
