Chelsea are keen on West Ham's Andy Carroll but have yet to make a formal bid. 

Loans have been discussed but David Moyes is against loaning out Carroll who, despite his injuries, has a proven Premier League scoring record.

Batshuayi has been at Stamford Bridge for 18 months after joining from Marseille, but has struggled to grasp regular first-team action.


The Belgian memorably scored the goal that won Chelsea the Premier League title at West Brom back in May but he continues to be on the periphery of Conte's squad.

The summer signing of Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid also nudged him further down the pecking order.

Conte had wanted to sign Fernando Llorente from Swansea in the summer before he joined Tottenham instead.

Attention has now turned to Carroll, who signed for West Ham in 2013 from Liverpool and has notched 25 goals in 86 league appearances in east London.
