Everton are looking to finalise the £20million transfer of Theo Walcott from Arsenal by the weekend.
Talks are ongoing between the clubs as Everton look to convince the England international to join them ahead of his former club Southampton.
Sportsmail first revealed Everton's interest on December 5, and manager Sam Allardyce has persevered as he looks to add much needed pace to the Goodison club's attack.

West Ham, Bournemouth, Watford, Swansea and Newcastle also asked about taking the 28-year-old on loan.
Everton still want to add Steven Nzonzi from Sevilla plus a defender with Lille's highly-rated Amadou Soumaoro an option.
Walcott, 28, came off the bench as Arsenal's hopes of a top-four finish were dealt another blow by a 2-1 defeat at Bournemouth on Sunday.
That could prove to be the forward's final game for Arsene Wenger's side, with Allardyce having made public his desire to bring in the forward.
Since joining from Southampton in 2006, Walcott has scored 65 goals and registered 43 assists in 270 Premier League appearances for Arsenal.
