Meanwhile, Crystal Palace have made enquiries about Celtic striker Moussa Dembele who remains unconvinced about a move to Brighton.

Seagulls boss Chris Hughton is an admirer of the former Fulham forward, although he is keen to know if Dembele wants a move to the south coast before submitting a club-record bid.

Palace are in the market for a new striker this month as Roy Hodgson looks to lead them further away from the relegation zone.

Celtic rate Dembele at around £25m but are in no rush to cash-in on the 21-year-old.
