Ashley Cole has signed a new one-year contract to remain with the LA Galaxy in Major League Soccer.
The 37-year-old former England left-back joined the Galaxy in January 2016 and has played 55 times for the club.
LA Galaxy head coach Sigi Schmid said on the club's website: 'We are very excited that Ashley will be returning for us in 2018. He's been a tremendous leader for our club.

The 37-year-old former England left-back has made 55 appearances for the Galaxy
'He's shown he can be successful in this league and we're confident that will continue in the season ahead.'
Cole joined the Galaxy from Serie A side Roma, having previously played for Arsenal and Chelsea in the Premier League.
He is regarded as one of the finest left-backs of his generation having won three Premier League titles and a Champions League.
Cole and the Galaxy will open the 2018 MLS Regular Season at StubHub Center on Sunday, March 4, against the Portland Timbers.
