Sam Allardyce anticipates a hectic summer of rebuilding at Goodison Park to forge an Everton team in his image.
The Toffees surrendered their seven-match unbeaten start to life under new boss Allardyce with a 2-1 Premier League loss at Bournemouth on Saturday.
Everton are expected to wrap up a deal for Turkey forward Cenk Tosun from Besiktas to open the imminent transfer window.

But whatever their business in January, Allardyce insists only a hectic summer can put Everton in the shape he will expect in order to climb the table.
Asked when Everton can expect to have a team worthy of their manager's expected approach, Allardyce said: 'The start of next season when it's all been sorted out in the summer.
'There's a lot to sort out, a lot to do and a lot to find out about the players, so we'll have to talk about it with the owners and the board and see where we go and what we do.'
Allardyce has shored up Everton's defensive approach and guided the Toffees out of the relegation zone, but the ex-Crystal Palace manager has insisted the Merseysiders cannot relax yet.

Everton will now host Manchester United at Goodison Park on New Year's Day, with Allardyce admitting plenty of hard graft awaits his new club.
He will monitor the progress of James McCarthy and Yannick Bolasie ahead of entertaining United, with that duo liable to share time on the pitch once again as they did at Bournemouth.
'The lads have done exceptionally well by turning around a leaky team,' said Allardyce.
'It's four goals in nine games, and it's allowed us to escape what was a team threatened with relegation.

'I was brought in because this team was threatened with relegation.
'Now the players in their response have done absolutely magnificent in turning that around and into a positive situation to be able to move forward.
'But we've just got to keep working at all of that.'
