Gabriel Jesus has compared the Manchester derby to the fierce rivalry of Brazil and Argentina ahead of Sunday's showdown at Old Trafford.

The Brazilian striker could make his second appearance against City's arch-rivals after playing in their goalless stalemate back in April.

Despite being relatively inexperienced in English football, having moved to the Premier League in January from Brazilian outfit Palmeiras, Jesus understands what Sunday's fixture represents.

He is fully aware of the Manchester rivalry which to him evokes memories of a showdown between Brazil and arch-foes Argentina.

'A little bit, yes,' he told Sport360.

'I think Brazil-Argentina is a bigger rivalry because we're talking about two national teams, two countries. But it's not that distant, it's similar, it's a Classico.

'It's going to be a good match, a big match, between big players from big clubs.

'We'll try to win because it's very important. It's also a head-to-head match with our positions in the table. So there's the size of the match, but we have to be clear that we're going there to try to win.

'I don't believe United will play defensively because just like us, they need the result. If they play like they did against Arsenal [when they attacked], that will make it an open game and that will suit us.'

Jose Mourinho's side are already trailing their rivals in the league by eight points after 15 games and failing to win on Sunday could be detrimental to their chances of catching City to the title.

Jesus, who could be in line to start in this weekend's crunch clash after Sergio Aguero has struggled for goals, knows what a huge win this would be.

The 20-year-old is desperate to clinch the Premier League title this season and admitted he wants to start a collection of body art mementos to show off his trophy wins.

However, even though it would be his first and City's first since the 2013-14 season, he said he would have to think twice before getting the Premier League trophy tattooed on him.

'Yes, I would add more,' he says with a laugh. 'A Premier League tattoo, I would have to think about it.

'But if we win the World Cup I would definitely do a tattoo. And if I ever win the Champions League I would also do one.'

Jesus is keen to add to his body art but admitted he would only get tattoos of the Champions League and World Cup trophies if he won them and would need to think about Premier League
