Hull have had to postpone Friday night's Under 23s game against Leeds as they were unable to field enough players.
The Championship side are understood to have cited a combination of injuries, an FA Youth Cup game against Bournemouth and the need to use some young players in the first-team.
They informed the Premier League and ran through their unavailability with the organisation, who believed they were unable to pull together a squad for Friday's game.

Leeds were only informed of the decision on Friday morning and have had to issue refunds to fans who purchased tickets for the game at Elland Road.
New first-team manager Nigel Adkins has been working with a threadbare squad during the week after stars Jarrod Bowen and Michael Hector were ruled out of this weekend's game against Brentford with injuries.
And he may have chosen to call up some of the club's younger stars for the game at the KCOM.
Adkins replaced Leonid Slutsky. The former CSKA Moscow manager left the club by mutual consent last week.
