Secret handshakes are becoming commonplace in the Premier League, but Swansea star Leroy Fer has taken it to another level after creating a different version with each of his team-mates.

Tammy Abraham filmed the Dutch midfielder making his way round the Swansea dressing room to execute unique and elaborate handshakes to perfection with no less than 11 players.

Starting with Renato Sanches, Fer showed no hesitation in remembering his special greeting with each of his peers, although harsh critics may accuse several of them for being a little too similar or brief.

Jordan Ayew was also on the receiving end of a handshake

There were also those who looked less than enthused with their involvement in proceedings. In particularly, Alfie Mawson's face of thunder appears to suggest he would rather be elsewhere.

But upon finishing his 11th handshake with an unseen team-mate, the whole dressing room treated Fer to a deserved round of applause. His routine would have provided some positivity to a team who has experienced plenty of negatives this season.

Paul Clement's side find themselves 19th in the Premier League after taking just eight points from their opening 12 fixtures. Although, they are only two points away from safety and face fellow strugglers Bournemouth later this month.

A win against Eddie Howe's men would certainly provide a much-needed boost, but first the Swans must focus on the altogether tougher task of facing an in-form Burnley side at Turf Moor.

It will be the first game under new captain Angel Rangel, who was handed the role earlier this week following Leon Britton's appointment as a player-coach.

Full-back Rangel, 35, takes over the captaincy after playing more than 370 games since joining from Spanish club Terrassa in 2007.

'Given his age, experience and the excellent service he has given to this club over a number of years, Angel is the right choice to be club captain,' Clement told the official Swansea website.
