West Brom have revived their interest in Brazilian midfielder Josef de Souza.
Albion offered £10.6million for the versatile 28-year-old from Fenerbahce in the summer but the deal stalled and manager Tony Pulis pushed through the loan signing of Grzegorz Krychowiak from Paris St Germain.
Pulis is under increasing pressure at the Hawthorns as Albion are without a win since August. He has been keen to add another striker and a centre-back too.
Fenerbahce's Josef de Souza was targeted by West Brom in the summer transfer window
The Baggies manager was booed by sections of his own support last time out during the 1-0 loss to newly-promoted Huddersfield.
Members of West Bromwich Albion’s board heard directly from angry supporters calling for Pulis to go in a fans forum at the Hawthorns on Thursday night.
Chief executive Martin Goodman and director of football administration Richard Garlick were grilled over West Brom’s poor form and whether Pulis would pay with his job.
Owner Guochuan Lai will be present at the Hawthorns for Saturday's visit of champions Chelsea in West Brom's first match back after the international break.
