Mesut Ozil could pen a new deal at Arsenal if Arsene Wenger allows him to step into the No 10 jersey which is currently filled by Jack Wilshere.
The German, who currently wears the No 11 shirt, is out of contract next summer and is seeking a £300,000-a-week deal to stay at the Emirates Stadium.
And, according to The Sun, Ozil would be prepared to put pen to paper if Wilshere relinquishes his squad number in order to boost his brand.

Ozil, who wears the No 11, will be a free agent next summer if he doesn't sign new deal
The 29-year-old playmaker has always sought the No 10. Ozil donned the 10 jersey at Real Madrid and still wears the number for Germany — as well as including it in his Instagram handle 'm10_official'.
Wilshere's own contract runs out next summer and this has piqued Ozil's interest.
Should the Englishman leave, the promise of the No 10 shirt could be a bargaining chip for Wenger, who is keen to tie Ozil down to another long-term deal.

He wears the number for when he plays for Germany and his Instagram name is 'm10_official'
Wilshere is also out of contract next summer and the vacant 10 jersey could interest Ozil
However, the England international is set to be offered a new deal by the Gunners amid growing concern they could be without both Ozil and Alexis Sanchez next season.
Ozil has many potential suitors, with Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho keen on a reunion with his former Real Madrid playmaker.
But Wenger is certain to try to halt any advances from other clubs to keep one of his star men in north London next term.
