Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino tops wishlist for Paris Saint-Germain should Unai Emery go, with Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte also targeted by French big spenders

Mauricio Pochettino is at the top of Paris Saint-Germain's wishlist for next summer, should they seek a change of manager.

The Argentine masterminded Tottenham's 3-1 win over Champions League holders Real Madrid on Wednesday night to seal their passage through to the last 16 of the competition.

And, according to Parisunited.net, Pochettino is the No 1 target for the Ligue 1 leaders should they decide to part company with Unai Emery at the end of the current campaign.

Director of sport Antero Henrique has drawn up a shortlist of candidates with the Spurs boss at the top, while Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is also thought to be on their radar.

Antonio Conte is the preferred option should they fail to land Pochettino, while Carlo Ancelotti, Andre Villas-Boas and River Plate boss Marcelo Gallardo make up the rest of the list.

Any appointment would depend on the departure of Emery, who has turned his own fortunes around at the Parc des Princes after a strong start to the season.

The capital side are already four points clear at the top of the domestic table and secured their own passage to the knockout stage of the Champions League with a 5-0 victory over Anderlecht.

That victory saw PSG break a group-stage record set by Manchester United's Treble-winning side of 1999, as they set the marker for the most goals scored after matchday four of the first round. They have 17 in just four games.

It is that kind of attacking football that has seen calls for Emery's departure dissipate over the first few months of the season, but the Spaniard himself could still decide to leave at the end of this campaign.

Should this occur, Spurs will be bracing themselves for a Paris raid.
