  • Fernando Llorente showed he's not the bravest when it comes to Halloween
  • The striker joined Michel Vorm, Kieran Trippier and Ben Davies in a challenge
  • Spurs players took part in 'what's in the box' challenge with Halloween twist
  • Llorente was the most scared of the four as he struggled throughout
  • Spurs are looking ahead to a Champions League clash with Real Madrid

After a horrifying week for Mauricio Pochettino's Tottenham, suffering back-to-back defeats by West Ham and Manchester United, the terrors continued for four Spurs players as they took on the 'what's in the box' challenge, with a Halloween twist.

If you were to label a member of the Spurs contingent as the most easily scared, nine out of 10 people wouldn't choose the giant Spaniard Fernando Llorente. But how wrong you would be.

As the Spurs new boy shows, he is not the bravest six-foot plus footballer around as Llorente and three team-mates - Kieran Trippier, Michel Vorm and Ben Davies - were faced with three boxes full of Halloween treats.

Davies was up first, presented with a box of raw sausages, fake rats and the head of a zombie, all of which he guessed correctly, despite letting out his shock after feeling a slimy head as his last task.

Trippier followed, and claimed the prize for second most scared as he hovered his hand over a severed hand in the first box, flinching and twitching as he went.

It's fair to say though, the full back had a tougher selection as he attempted to negotiate round a Heung-Min Son bobble head, before letting out a cry of terror after taking a peak at the zombie head.

Spurs No 2 Vorm was business as usual, composed and cool under the pressures of the task, guessing all three before pinching the ear of the zombie and laughing in his face. Shame on you Trippier.

Last but certainly not least was Llorente, who let off the air of a frightened man as laughed nervously at the task in front of him.

First up, a Halloween doll. The Spaniard flirted with the top of the box before pulling away, eventually diving in and pulling the doll out.

The second he was more hesitant with, expecting each to be more terrifying than the last. 'Oh f***,' he says as he was hurried along by his watching team-mates. 'Play-Doh. Easy,' he added.

The zombie head, not so much. 'What is this?' he queries as he jumps back. 'No, no, no, no,' Llorente repeats as he tries to cheat. He eventually musters up the courage and guesses correctly before greeting his new enemy: 'Hello, my friend.'

With the task completed, Pochettino's chosen four will need to summon yet more courage as they face a visit from Champions League holders Real Madrid on Wednesday night.

Harry Kane is closing in on a return after a week off with a hamstring injury, so Llorente may have until at least the second half to regain his composure. Although it's clear the Spaniard might struggle sleeping after his horrifying day in Enfield.

The striker couldn't hide for long though as he is chased by the flesh-eating monster
