Few better understand the intensity of the rivalry between Manchester United and Liverpool than Paul Scholes.
The one-club man is a legend at Old Trafford, having won every possible honour during his illustrious two-decade career - including 11 Premier League titles.
And it seems the enmity towards Liverpool remains strong in Scholes, at least judging by his very cheeky reaction to a comment by Anfield icon Steven Gerrard during BT Sport's Champions League coverage.
Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard was speaking on BT Sport about Jose Mourinho's tactics when Manchester United visited at the weekend and mentioned he never won the league title
The pair were working as pundits, with Gerrard discussing Jose Mourinho's tactical approach in Saturday's goalless draw between the sides.
The former Liverpool captain said: 'For somebody who hasn't won the league, for me, I see it more as clever management and tactically spot on if you go on and win it.'
The camera then panned to Scholes, who just couldn't resist a little smirk as he remembered that Gerrard never lifted the Premier League trophy during his 17-year career with Liverpool.
Scholes quickly recovered his poise and started nodding in agreement with Gerrard's point

Scholes, realising the glare of the spotlight was on him, quickly recovered his composure and started nodding diplomatically in response to Gerrard's remark.
It was the most fleeting of smiles but didn't go unnoticed on social media, with fans describing the reaction as 'absolutely brutal'.
It just goes to show that this particular rivalry remains just as strong even in retirement.
