Jamie Vardy has fully recovered from his niggling hip injury and is fit to face West Bromwich Albion on Monday, Leicester boss Craig Shakespeare has revealed.

The striker was injured in last month's 1-1 draw at Huddersfield but played in Leicester's next two matches with the help of pain-killing injections.

Vardy did not feature for England in their recent World Cup qualifiers, but Shakespeare insists the forward looked sharp in training this week.

'Vardy has fully recovered from his hip problem,' Shakespeare told a press conference on Thursday. 'He had injections and was given time away. There's no ill effects.'

The 30-year-old has been Leicester's top scorer in the past two seasons and has already found the net five times in seven games despite Leicester's slow start to the campaign.

Leicester are just above the relegation zone with five points from seven games and last won against Brighton and Hove Albion in the second round of league fixtures in August.

'We want to be consistent, whether we're playing the top teams or the teams in and around us. We'll focus on West Brom,' the manager added.

Shakespeare also declared Wilfred Ndidi fit after he appeared to injure his hamstring on international duty with Nigeria while Ben Chilwell is also in contention after missing England Under 21 duty with a knock.

'There was a scare about Ndidi, but it was only cramp and he trained today fully. He's fine so there's no problems there.'
