Chelsea are following Steaua Bucharest winger Florinel Coman.

Technical director Michael Emenalo flew to Romania last week to watch the 19-year-old in Steaua's 1-0 win over city rivals Dinamo.

Coman predominantly plays from the left wing though is equally adept across the front line and has been capped five times by Romania's U21 side.

Steaua only signed him in August from Viitorul Constanta for £2million despite strong interest from Benfica.

However, Steaua's controversial owner Gigi Becali is reputed to have inserted an £88m release clause in Coman's contract as they regard him to be at the same level as Kylian Mbappe.

Steaua have a number of talented young players, including Dennis Man, Florin Tanase and Dragos Nedelcu but Coman is considered the best of the group.

Meanwhile, Chelsea have offered a contract worth £300,000 a week to Eden Hazard and expect him to stay but are wary of the continued interest from Real Madrid in their talented Belgian winger.
