It may present an opportunity to Freddie Ladapo, who joined the Eagles from non-League Margate in 2016.
Last month the striker said he was relishing the prospect of getting a chance to play.
'I was on the bench for the first game [against Huddersfield] and I was hoping to be on it again a couple more times, but I am still getting my fitness and trying to impress, and scoring goals will help,' Ladapo said.
