Arsenal's luck of the draw: Last five domestic cup games (excluding FA Cup final) have seen Gunners face lowest ranked side left in the hat
- Arsenal have been living charmed life when domestic cup draws are made
- Of previous five EFL Cup (now Carabao) draws, four have been at home
- Each of those five game have come against lowest ranked side left in draw
- In the FA Cup last season Arsenal played non-league Lincoln and Sutton
Arsenal have picked up the happy habit of drawing minnows on a surprisingly regular basis.
In the EFL Cup, now known as the Carabao Cup, the Gunners have been matched up with the lowest ranked team left in the hat on the last five occasions.
Remarkably, Arsene Wenger's side have welcomed four of those five teams to the Emirates, furthering their advantage.

The Gunners have been lucky in the Carabao Cup by being handed straightforward games
Having overcome Doncaster in the 1-0 in the Carabao Cup third round on Wednesday night, Arsenal were then drawn against Norwich, who lie 12th in the Championship.
On paper the fixtures have looked kind but Wenger's men have not completed a clean sweep of those games, losing 2-0 to Southampton in last season's EFL Cup quarter-final.
The Emirates club have a happy knack of favourable draws in the FA Cup too.
Aside from the tricky semi-final in last year's semi final against Manchester City, the run to the final was relatively plain sailing.
Arsenal enjoyed fixtures against non-league Lincoln City and Sutton United after starting the campaign with trips to St Mary's to face the Saints and Deepdale where they took on Preston.
The Gunners have a strong record in the FA Cup in recent years, having lifted the trophy three out of the past four seasons.
The Gunners overcame Doncaster at the Emirates and will face Norwich in the Carabao Cup
In British football's other domestic cup competition, Arsenal have not fared as well, losing in the final to Birmingham City in 2011 and to Chelsea in 2007.
You have to go back to 1993 for the last time the club were successful in the EFL Cup when a 2-1 victory over Sheffield Wednesday was enough to add another trophy to the cabinet.
Wenger would no doubt love his recent luck to continue as Arsenal hunt for more domestic success this season.
