The current Aston Villa man thanked Willian for being such a good player and friend
Terry, who is now helping Aston Villa in their bid to return to the Premier League, clearly appreciated just how good Willian was as a player and teammate.
He wrote: 'To Willian, you are an unbelievable player and a great friend. It's been a pleasure to watch you train and play for Chelsea.
'I feel lucky to have had you in our team and lucky I didn't have to play against you. Top player. JT'
Both Willian and Terry had their personal struggles while teammates at the club and Willian was clearly grateful for the gesture.
He wrote back: 'In the last days I have had the honor of receiving this beautiful gift from my friend, the legend John Terry.
'John, thank you very much for this gift and for the beautiful message. It has been a great pleasure to be a team-mate of one of the greatest defenders in the world and, above all, an example of a professional football player'
'In those 4 years that we've been working together I've learned a lot from you and it's a real pride to be able to say that I played with you. All the happiness in the world in your career and in your life, my friend!'

They certainly had a successful time together at the club, winning two Premier League titles since Willian joined the London club in 2013.
However, the Brazilian is currently struggling to cement his place in Antonio Conte's team and Terry has only helped Aston Villa to 13th in the Championship so far this season.
