Jose Mourinho remains unbeaten at home on any given Sunday as Manchester United boss makes it 105 league matches without a single loss

It was normal Sunday service resumed for Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford as Manchester United beat Everton 4-0 in the final Premier League fixture of the weekend.

The result saw United remain level on points with neighbours Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table, as strikes from Antonio Valencia, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Romelu Lukaku and Anthony Martial.

A strong win and keeping up an unbeaten start to the season should have come as a surprise to few, and not only because of the scintillating start made by the 13-time champions.

Also on their side was Mourinho's incredible record in home matches on a Sunday for every team he has managed.

In 105 league matches the Portuguese has managed at home on a Sunday for Porto, Chelsea, Inter, Real Madrid and Manchester United, he has never lost a single game.

Mourinho has led his side to victory in 81 of those fixtures across the continent, drawing on 24 occasions.

And the record still stands when taking into account matches in all competitions, winning 87 of his 113 fixtures.

The good fortune he enjoys at home doesn't quite extend to away trips, with last year's trip to Chelsea on a Sunday proving a particularly chastening experience, losing 4-0 against his former club.

He won't be able to rely on his team's Sunday success in the near future, however. United are not scheduled to play on Sunday at home again before at least December.
