Manchester United ace Paul Pogba laughs off claims he was lucky to escape a red card in win over Swansea

Manchester United star Paul Pogba shrugged off suggestions he could have been sent off in Saturday's 4-0 win over Swansea City.

The French international scored the goal of the game but knows he was possibly fortunate still to be on the pitch.

He was booked for hacking down Tom Carroll in the 26th minute before clipping Martin Olsson's ankle four minutes later.

Referee Jon Moss just gave Pogba a talking-to as the midfielder waved a finger at the official as if to say 'don't send me off'.

Still smiling after inspiring a second four-goal win in seven days, Pogba said: 'I was not worried.

'The referee came to talk to me and I laughed with him. I said, "Are you serious?"'

United manager Jose Mourinho did not think Pogba was lucky to stay on the pitch.

'I don't even think the first yellow card is so, so deserved,' Mourinho told reporters.

'I think the yellow card is a little bit out of context because I thought that Jonathan was having a certain kind of criteria that wouldn't bring an easy yellow card.'
