Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola reveals Kyle Walker was handed leave of absence due to pregnant girlfriend but insists he is available for Everton

Kyle Walker was afforded a leave of absence by Manchester City this week because his partner Annie Kilner is heavily pregnant.
The right back did not travel to Girona for a friendly on Tuesday but will be available against Everton on Monday night.
‘Kyle’s wife is pregnant. He’s almost a father again,’ Guardiola said. ‘That’s why he stayed here for the beautiful moment.’

Walker played in the Brighton win last week but was missing in the Girona friendly on Tuesday
But Guardiola insisted the player would be available for Monday's clash with Everton
And Pep Guardiola confirmed City would be happy to go with the squad they’ve got should a move for Jonny Evans not come off.
City have seen two bids - the second hitting £18million - rejected for the former Manchester United centre half but Tony Pulis suggested the Baggies would sell.
‘Evans is a player for West Brom. Tony was clear. We tried to do the best squad as possible, it’s a long season.

And Guardiola insisted he would be happy with his squad weather Evans joined or not
‘We’re going to see how the market finishes. We have to stay with the players we have right now then we’re happy.
‘If someone comes then we’re happy too. I know what the club wants. We try to do our best, sometimes it’s possible sometimes not.
‘Every season I start believing my players are the best. I talk to (director of football) Txiki (Begiristain), all the players at the club, everyone has their own opinions. We talk about making our club stronger.’
