Arsenal 1-2 Sevilla RESULT: Arsene Wenger's side win Emirates Cup on goals scored despite falling to defeat against the La Liga outfit
- Joaquin Correa put Sevilla ahead on 49 minutes at the Emirates Stadium
- Alexandre Lacazette scored Arsenal's equaliser via a tap-in on 62 minutes
- Steven N'Zonzi scored the winner for Sevilla in the 69th minute on Sunday
Not for the first time at the Emirates Stadium, a Frenchman stole the show. Unfortunately for Arsenal, it was Steven N’Zonzi.
Alexandre Lacazette scored on his first start at his new home following his club record £52million arrival from Lyon.
But the forward was upstaged by N’Zonzi, who scored an exquisite winner to inflict defeat on the Gunners in their final pre-season clash before next week’s Community Shield against champions Chelsea.
Ridiculously, Arsenal still won the Emirates Cup on goals scored even though Sevilla won both games over the weekend after Saturday's victory over RB Leipzig.

2) Sevilla: 9 points (three goals)
3) RB Leipzig: 5 points (two goals)
4) Benfica: 2 points (two goals)
Arsenal may have lost but they still claim the Emirates Cup on goals scored.
Despite Sevilla winning both their matches and Arsenal picking up just one victory, the Gunners have held on to top spot after netting six goals compared to the La Liga outfit's three.
86 mins: Ramsey tries his luck from just outside the penalty area but his curling right footed effort goes wide of the right post.
82 mins: Arsenal pushing for an equaliser! With them a goal behind, the Gunners are desperately trying to seek out an equaliser. But Sevilla are holding firm. Just under seven minutes of normal time left!
Despite currently winning 2-1, Sevilla are still set to finish second behind Arsenal in the Emirates Cup.
80 mins: Another substitution for Sevilla. Struggling to keep up! Fernandez comes on for the dangerous Ben Yedder.
78 mins: Correa is replaced by Corchia
Elneny comes off for Walcott, who scored twice on Saturday against Benfica.
And Lacazette, who picked up a little niggle just now, has been replaced by Iwobi. Arsenal fans will be hoping there is nothing wrong with their new signing!
69 mins: What a goal from N'Zonzi. The former Blackburn and Stoke midfielder gathers the ball on the edge of the Arsenal box and sees his curling left footed effort fight the right hand corner. Brilliant response by Sevilla. What a second half this is!
62 mins: And there we have it! Lacazette scores at the Emirates! Chamberlain flies down the right and his cross from the byline on the right is met by the French striker, who taps home to score the equalising goal.
That will give him some confidence if he needed any!
61 mins: Escudero comes off for Lenglet, while Banega is replaced by Ganso!
Meanwhile for Arsenal, Xhaka comes on in place of Willock!
59 mins: Lacazette has his first real effort at goal after being played in by Ramsey. But his half volley from just inside the Sevilla penalty area is comfortably saved by Soria.
After going behind early in the second period, Wenger will be eager for his side to respond in emphatic fashion.
However, Sevilla have seen the majority of the ball since going in front.
Can Arsenal give their fans something to cheer about?
49 mins: And just like that Sevilla are ahead! Some good build up play and a brilliant reverse ball by Yedder ends with Correa 1 on 1 with Cech, before the Sevilla man slots the ball home from close range past the former Chelsea man
And the second half action gets underway. If the game finishes 0-0, which hopefully it doesn't, then Arsenal will finish on nine points while Sevilla will end up on five points!
Marriner blows his whistle for half time. The scoreline somehow remains goalless but both sides really should be on the scoresheet.
There has been some wasteful play in front of goal!
45 mins: Wow! Sevilla really should have just gone ahead! A large hole in the heart of the Arsenal defence allows Nolito a free run at goal with just Cech to beat. However, the winger tries to square the ball to Yedder but Koscielny is there to clear. Should have been 1-0 to the Spanish outfit on the stroke of half time.
Five minutes of the first half remaining. Despite Sevilla coming the closest to opening the scoring, Arsenal should be going into the break ahead but they have been wasteful in front of goal. Can someone break the deadlock before the whistle goes?
32 mins: Wenger's side really applying the pressure now. Ramsey finds himself on the edge of the box before trying to dribble his way through the Sevilla defence.
The midfielder somehow finds a way through and sets his sight on the goal. However, Ramsey's right footed shot from just inside the area goes wide of the right post.
And just moments later, winger Nolito tries his luck from range for Sevilla but his effort goes just wide of Cech's right post.
29 mins: Welbeck the next player to miss a golden chance. The former Manchester United striker uses his speed to run away from the Sevilla defence but his effort from inside the area goes wide of the left post. Should have done better.
Feels like a goal should be coming soon!
22 mins: Arsenal right back Bellerin spurns a golden opportunity for the Gunners.
Some brilliant play from Chamberlain sees him run up the left flank before putting in a delightful cross to the back post. However, Bellerin, who was completely unmarked, skies his effort after leaning back. A fast start to the game!
17 mins: Sevilla players feel Joe Willock handled the ball in the penalty area after Nolito attempts to put a cross into the box but Marriner waves play on. No
15 mins: Sevilla just came so close to opening the scoring! Yedder is played through behind the heart of the Arsenal defence by Banega but his effort hits the post, giving Arsenal a lifeline. Lucky for the Gunners!
13 mins: Banega has a speculative effort at goal but his long range strike goes well over the crossbar. Both teams seem to have settled into the game well. Who can land the first blow?
8 mins: Sevilla just enjoying a spell of possession! Ben Yedder puts a ball into the penalty area but Cech is on hand to catch. The Spanish outfit will be looking to settle into the game quickly and put the pressure on Arsenal early on.
4 mins: Koscielny nearly opens the scoring for the Gunners. Chamberlain's corner is floated in and the Frenchman rises above his opponent to fire a header towards goal.
But he doesn't manage to get power on his effort as David Soria comfortably saves.
3 mins: Arsenal have applied the pressure early on. Ramsey plays a brilliant through ball to Bellerin on the right but the Spaniard's cross just evades the onrushing Welshman, with Sevilla able to clear.
Andre Marriner blows his whistle and off we go! Arsenal will be looking to get off to the perfect start in front of their fans.
