First-team players were leaping over hurdles and testing their agility, not just their footwork as Mourinho ran the rule over his squad.

United face a grueling schedule in the States with five friendly matches lined up, including clashes with Manchester City, Real Madrid and Barcelona later this month.

They then head back to Europe for games against Valerenga in Norway and Sampdoria in Dublin.

United face Real again in the final of the Super Cup on August 8 before the beginning of the 2017-18 Premier League campaign at home to West Home five days later.

Romelu Lukaku continued to attune himself to his new surroundings after joining up with his team-mates in Los Angeles following his £75m move from Everton.

Former striker Andy Cole is excited by the Belgian's arrival and believes he will provide a missing ingredient for the side next season.

'He's a massive signing,' Cole told MUTV. 'They're all big-money signings nowadays but he's proven in the Premier League.

'He'll get goals and that's what Manchester United missed last season. I think he's got plenty of those in him.

'Since he left Chelsea earlier on in his career, the way he's gone about his business is by getting goals.

'He did it at West Brom, then got quite a few more goals at Everton, and hopefully that trend will continue at Manchester United.'

As United prepared for the clash with LA Galaxy they were treated to a visit to their training ground by acting royalty from Game of Thrones.

Conleth Hill, who plays Lord Varys, posed for a picture with Lindelof, while Iain Glen, who plays Jorah Mormont, was snapped alongside David de Gea.

Former United midfielder Bojan Djordjic managed to one-up the current stars, though, as he managed to grab a picture alongside The Rock.
