Chelsea's new defender Antonio Rudiger has sent a message to his fans following his move from Roma, promising to give his all for the shirt.
The 24-year-old Germany international will cost the Stamford Bridge club an initial £29million with add-ons potentially taking the deal to £33.3m.
Rudiger will take over the number two shirt left vacant after Branislav Ivanovic's departure to Zenit St Petersburg in February.
He said: 'Thank you very much for your patience. I'm happy to be here, and I will try to give 100 per cent.'
Bundesliga side Stuttgart have confirmed the arrival of Chadrac Akolo on a four-year deal from Sion.
The 22-year-old joins the club hoping to consolidate their top flight status after their promotion last season.
Kinshasa-born Akolo, who scored 15 goals for Sion last term, told the club's official site: 'I had a successful time in Switzerland, for which I am very grateful.
'Now I am looking forward to the challenges in the Bundesliga and to playing for my new club, Stuttgart.
'I would like to get to know my team-mates at the upcoming training camp, and over the coming weeks and months I hope I can help us have a good campaign.'
Former Everton midfielder and current club ambassador Leon Osman has spoken of the huge benefits following Waye Rooney's return to the Toffees.
Speaking on Sky Sports News HQ, Osman, who is currently in Tanzania ahead of Everton's first pre-season friendly, said: 'It's fantastic. It's news I've been waiting on for a while, and it's been in the pipeline for a while.
'Ronald Koeman made it clear he wanted him at Everton, there's a few things that's happened behind the scenes, and he's worked hard to make it possible.
'I believe he still has it. I disagree with people who say his powers have gone, he was at such a height, that he still has so much to offer. Not only will he be a success on the pitch but he will help the development of the kids at the club.
'From a commercial aspect, when the news hit Tanzania, the place went crazy. If he comes out here with the squad next week, he'll get mobbed.
'He can play as the lone striker, on the left, the right as Jose Mourinho did, or as a No 10. He could potentially be captain, but I believe Phil Jagielka has time left in him and Seamus Coleman has been quietly staking his claim. He's a legend and I'm sure he'll be delighted to be offered the armband.
On the Lukaku move to United, Osman added: 'It's not quite gone through yet, but it looks like it's a about to happen. Because he wants to leave the club, then it's down to Koeman to get as much out of the deal as possible.'
Everton have revealed that Wayne Rooney will wear the No 10 shirt next season at Goodison Park, with the striker taking the number off Romelu Lukaku - before the club have confirmed the Belgian's exit.

'We don't need to rush him but he's going to make a big contribution to the squad and you saw that today in the half hour he was on, when he showed his pace and his crossing ability. He has an eye for a goal.

The 21-year-old was understood to have undergone a medical in Glasgow while the Scottish champions completed their pre-season in Dublin.
Ntcham spent the last two seasons on loan with Genoa in Serie A where he caught the eye of Parkhead boss Brendan Rodgers as a potential Celtic No 10.
Paulinho is looking to sign for Barcelona next week while Brazilian team-mate Neymar claims he would be welcomed with open arms.
Spanish giants Barcelona have been scouting the market for midfield reinforcements this summer and have identified former Tottenham man Paulinho as an ideal fit after impressing for Chinese Super League side Guangzhou Evergrande.
Barcelona had a £17million offer for the midfielder rejected earlier in the week by the Chinese outfit but the Brazilian is hoping a deal will be concluded very soon.
SIMON JONES: Everton are ready to open the bidding for Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud after Romelu Lukaku leaves the club.
Lukaku will finalise his potential £90million move to Manchester United and Everton would ideally like Giroud as a replacement.
The France international, who turns 31 in September, has interest from Marseille, Lyon and West Ham but Everton are hopeful, if they can strike a deal at the right price with Arsenal, that they can convince Giroud to join their ambitious project.
Romelu Lukaku has admitted he did not think twice about agreeing to join Manchester United when the opportunity arose, describing the Red Devils as the 'biggest club in the world'.
United announced on Saturday they had reached an agreement with Everton to sign the 24-year-old in a deal understood to be worth an initial £75million, rising to an astonishing £90million.
Lukaku, who has been on holiday in America, is now set to put the finishing touches on the switch and should then be able to link up with Jose Mourinho's side on their pre-season tour of the States.
ROBERT COTTINGHAM: Cristiano Ronaldo has undergone a change of heart over his future and has decided to remain at Real Madrid, according to reports in Spain.
Madrid president Florentino Perez admitted Ronaldo was left 'angry and hurt' after accusations from the Spanish authorities that he had evaded £12.9million in tax.
Ronaldo informed the club that he would leave if he was convicted of tax fraud and even held a secret meeting with Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi, just hours before scoring twice in the Champions League final win over Juventus.
SAMI MOKBEL: Antonio Rudiger has arrived in London to sign for Chelsea in a deal worth £31million.
The Roma defender - barring a last minute hitch - will pen a five year deal with the Stamford Bridge club.
Rudiger will undergo a medical today before finalising his move to Stamford Bridge.
The initial fee for Rudiger is £31m - but the deal is packed full of additional payments which could take the overall fee to £35m.
TOM BASSAM: Everton legend Kevin Ratcliffe has questioned where Wayne Rooney fits into Ronald Koeman's plans and if the player's big return is actually being driven by the club's top brass.
Ratcliffe led the Toffees as captain to their unprecedented success in the 1980s but admits to being perplexed over Rooney's second coming. The 31-year-old was pictured leaving Finch Farm on Saturday after completing his medical.
Everton's summer spending, which is nearing the £100million mark, has seen energetic players like Sandro Ramirez, Davy Klaassen and Michael Keane arrive.
Arsenal legend Nigel Winterburn believes that new Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette can have a huge impact for the club but has warned fans to have patience.
Lacazette joined Arsenal in a club record £53million move on Wednesday from Lyon, signing a five-year contract with the Gunners.
After finishing outside of the Champions League spots last season following a turbulent campaign, Arsene Wenger is determined to put things right and is also ready to lodge a £45million bid for Monaco's Thomas Lemar.

That fee may even rise to £50m with additional payments, taking Arsenal’s spending in July alone to over £100m, after the £52.7m signing of Alexandre Lacezette from Lyon last week.

SIMON JONES: Burnley have made an enquiry for Sunderland centre-back Lamine Kone.
The 28-year-old Ivory Coast international is available as he wants to play in the top flight and manager Simon Grayson will sell to help boost his transfer funds.

JOE BERNSTEIN: Newcastle United manager Rafa Benitez is interested in Manchester City's England midfielder Fabian Delph.
However the player's £12million asking price could prove an interesting test case for owner Mike Ashley's transfer ambitions this summer.
Delph, 27, is expected to leave the Etihad when contract issues are resolved and Stoke City are also interested in taking him either on loan or as a permanent transfer.
JOE BERNSTEIN: Everton are expected to take their spending over the £100million mark this week by completing a move for Swansea City's Icelandic playmaker Gylfi Sigurdsson.
With Ronald Koeman's coffers swelled by the £75million departure of Romelu Lukaku, he will go back in with a fourth bid for 27-year-old Sigurdsson, who is also wanted by a couple of other Premier League clubs but favours a move to Goodison Park.
Swansea have remained resolute in their determination to keep Sigurdsson but a new offer of £32million from Everton coupled with Sigurdsson's wish to have a fresh challenge after three years in south Wales means a deal is likely to take place.
