Newcastle eye loan move for Chelsea's Ruben Loftus-Cheek as Watford close in on £5m Nathaniel Chalobah
- Ruben Loftus-Cheek managed just six first-team appearances last season
- The Chelsea midfielder could leave on loan as he searches for first-team football
- Newcastle are in the frame to sign him after missing out on Tammy Abraham
- Watford are still interested in signing Nathaniel Chalobah for cut-price £5m
Chelsea starlet Ruben Loftus-Cheek is a target for recently promoted Newcastle.
The midfielder is targeting regular Premier League football after failing to make a sustained impact on the first-team at Chelsea under both Antonio Conte and Jose Mourinho.
Loftus-Cheek made just six appearances for the Blues last season as they romped to the title and has therefore been made available by the Stamford Bridge side.

Newcastle were keen on fellow Chelsea youngster Tammy Abraham, but the fact he joined Swansea means Rafa Benitez's side are able to sign Loftus-Cheek on loan.
Meanwhile, Watford are still interested in signing Nathaniel Chalobah.
Chalobah could be signed by the Vicarage Road side for a cut-price £5million, with Watford viewing the 22-year-old as an ideal player to inject youth into an otherwise old side.
The former Napoli loanee has just one year left to run on his Chelsea deal and is not keen to sign a new deal without being offered more playing time than the 10 Premier League games he featured in last season.
Chalobah spent the 2012-13 season on loan at Watford.
