Shkodran Mustafi hopes Alexis Sanchez will stay at Arsenal despite interest from Bayern Munich and Manchester City in the wantaway forward.
The pair went head-to-head in Chile's 1-1 draw against Germany in the Confederations Cup on Thursday.
'I have no idea. Obviously the other players cannot make that decision, he has to make that decision,' the centre-back told Omnisport after Germany booked a semi-final tie against Mexico with a 3-1 win over 10-man Cameroon in Sochi.

'I'm not too much involved. I hope he stays because he is a really brilliant football player but there's nothing in my hands that I can.'
Sanchez, 28, has just 12 months left on his contract with the Gunners and has so far refused to sign fresh terms.
The Chilean forward is wanted by Manchester City, Chelsea and Bayern Munich and has made it clear to his club he has a desire to fight for major silverware as well as £300,000 per week wage demands.
Sanchez's Arsenal future is uncertain, with no new contract signed and his deal running down
The uncertainty surrounding Sanchez's future has clouded the early weeks of Arsenal's summer – but team-mate Mustafi is desperate to see him stick around.
He added: 'He is an extraordinary player, for me one of the best in the world. I have experienced few players who are as hungry as him.
'As soon as he is on the ball, everyone knows something can happen.'
Arsenal are adamant that they will not sell Sanchez to a Premier League rival this summer, seemingly leaving Bayern as his most obvious exit route.
Mustafi says the forward is one of the best players in the world and hailed his desire
