The teenager said it was a dream to play alongside boyhood hero Steven Gerrard
Speaking to the Liverpool Echo he said: 'As a kid I always said that my dream was to play in a game with Stevie.
'I thought that chance had passed to be honest, especially with him retiring last year.
'I know it wasn't a competitive game but I'll take it anyway. It was brilliant to have him as a teammate and I'll tick that one off my list.'
The academy product made his first-team debut for Liverpool in an EFL Cup win over Tottenham in October 2016 and went on to make 12 appearances in total, including a Premier League bow at Old Trafford.
Alexander-Arnold admitted he grew up wanting to emulate the Steven Gerrard pass
He added: 'That iconic pass Stevie does - I used to watch that week in week out. To be on the receiving end of a couple of those was a privilege.
'Every kid growing up in Liverpool tried to emulate that kind of Steven Gerrard pass.'
The 18-year-old played the full 90 minutes as the Reds ran out 3-0 winners Down Under thanks to goals from Daniel Sturridge, Alberto Moreno and Roberto Firmino.
The defender enjoys some downtime on Bondi Beach during the brief tour to Australia
