The concern for the teenage Nigerian is that he would not qualify for a work permit as he has yet to play a full international for his country.

However, his fee of £6.8million plus wages of around £32,000 a week would aid his qualification under the totting up procedure for an elite talent.

Club Brugge and Anderlecht have made offers for Onyekuru while Borussia Monchengladbach, Southampton, West Bromwich Albion, Everton and Bournemouth have all made enquiries.

He has scored 25 goals this season and made 14 assists with six goals coming in his last four games.

Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi's goalscoring finale to the season has increased interest in the Belgian striker ahead of the summer market.

The 23-year-old finished what was predominantly a frustrating season by scoring the goal that clinched the title at West Brom then added three more against Watford and Sunderland in the final two games to give himself nine goals for the campaign.

Chelsea have still to decide whether he can leave this summer on loan or on a permanent deal as they wait to see what strikeforce they can obtain for next season.

Diego Costa remains a target for Chinese side Tianjin Quanjian while Chelsea continue to jostle position with Manchester United for Romelu Lukaku and Real Madrid's Alvaro Morata.

Batshuayi has long-standing interest from West Ham while Newcastle United, Monaco, Nice and Marseille have also expressed a desire to sign him.

With a World Cup approaching, Batshuayi needs a move that will keep him at the forefront of Robert Martinez's plans.

West Brom manager Tony Pulis has checked on Colombian striker Jhon Cordoba.

The 24-year-old is a quick and powerful forward who plays for Mainz in the Bundesliga.

Cordoba has been compared to Didier Drogba in style though his goalscoring record is not as impressive as the former Chelsea striker.

He scored seven goals this season and was watched by Albion scouts when he scored in his side's 4-2 win over Eintracht Frankfurt earlier this month.

Albion are hopeful of keeping Salomon Rondon despite further interest from China, where he almost moved in January, and are monitoring developments with Troy Deeney at Watford though the Vicarage Road club are likely to want more than £25million

Pulis is flying over to Guangzhou to speak to owner Guochuan Lai tonight and will underline the need for strong investment.

Tottenham Hotspur have yet to receive an offer from Marseille for Moussa Sissoko despite increased interest from the ambitious French side.

The midfielder is keen to re-assess his career this summer ahead fo the forthcoming World Cup and wants to play more regularly after a disappointing campaign following his move from Newcastle United.

Tottenham, who will see midfielder Mousa Dembele have surgery on his left foot and miss the post-season trip to Hong Kong, want two midfielders, another forward, full-back and defender as they look to strengthen in depth.
