Glen Johnson is close to agreeing terms on a new contract to stay at Stoke City.
Talks have advanced over recent days with the 32-year-old offered a one year extension.
Johnson has returned to the starting line-up in recent weeks under Mark Hughes and has made 21 appearances altogether this season.Ā

The former Liverpool defender has been at the bet365 Stadium since July 2015
The former England international was a target for West Ham in January but they have targeted Pablo Zabaleta at Manchester City for the summer.
Stoke are discussing a new deal for Phil Bardsley also but face a tougher task convincing Ryan Shawcross to stay.Ā
The 29-year-old captain has just over a year left on his contract and is wanted by Newcastle United, Brighton, West Brom and Leicester.
