SIMON JONES: Manchester United midfielder Sean Goss is wanted by Queens Park Rangers.

The 21-year-old has figured in several first team squads over recent seasons and is an England U19 international.

Comfortable on the ball, Goss was signed by United from Exeter City and can play at left-back also. Ian Holloway is keen to sign him on loan.

Yaya Toure rejects big-money China move

Yaya Toure has rejected big-money offers from China in the hope of staying in Britain.

The Manchester City midfielder is out of contract at the end of the season and has been approached by clubs from the lucrative Chinese Super League.

Some reports have suggested the 33-year-old could command wages of around £430,000 per week by moving but he is not interested.

Demichelis rejoins Malaga

Argentina defender Martin Demichelis has joined former club Malaga for the remainder of the season as a free agent after terminating his contract with Espanyol.

The centre back played 103 games in his first spell for Malaga after joining the club in January 2011 when they were managed by Manuel Pellegrini, who was his former coach at River Plate and who signed him for Manchester City in 2013.

The 36-year-old helped Malaga qualify for the Champions League for the only time in their history in 2012. They reached the quarter-finals of the competition in 2013.

SIMON JONES: West Ham and Brentford have had a breakthrough in talks over the transfer of striker Scott Hogan.

The clubs have agreed an initial £9million down payment but are still negotiating on the add-ons with Brentford pushing for their £15m total.

West Ham are understood to have offered around £13.5m in total as the clubs edge towards a solution.

The clubs are in talks over the projected £10million sale of Patrick Bamford who was due to have a medical in London on Monday prior to travelling to Teesside but discussions are still going on with Boro looking to pay an initial £5million.

DONE DEAL: Swansea sign Tom Carroll

'Swansea have made their second signing of the day after Tom Carroll completed his move from Tottenham Hotspur for an undisclosed fee,' a club statement read.

Carroll has signed a three-and-a-half year deal at the Liberty. The 24-year-old becomes the Swans’ third new arrival of the transfer window following the acquisition of PSV Eindhoven winger Luciano Narsingh and left-back Martin Olsson, who joined earlier today from Norwich City. 

Carroll spent a successful loan spell at the Liberty during the 2014-15 campaign, where he made 18 appearances in all competitions during the Swans’ record-breaking season which saw them finish eighth in the Premier League.

SAMI MOKBEL: Antonio Conte and Diego Costa have drawn a line under last week's fitness row at Chelsea’s training ground.

And Costa will now be given the opportunity to win his place back in the starting XI for the clash against Hull City on Saturday.

Alan McCormack set to leave Brentford on loan

SAM MORSHEAD: The versatile former Swindon Town player has struggled for first-team chances at Griffin Park this term and both Millwall and Coventry have shown interest.

The Bees are understood to be willing to allow the Dubliner to get gametime elsewhere.

McCormack moved to Brentford in the summer of 2013 and has made 96 appearances for the Bees, helping them win promotion to the Championship in 2013-14.

However, he has played just four times in 2016-17 and has not featured for the club since picking up a five-game ban in October for abusing an official, an offence which had taken place in April.

SAM MORSHEAD: Norwich have shown an interest in Bradford defender James Meredith as a possible replacement for the departed Martin Olsson.

Olsson joined Swansea in a £4million move on Tuesday, leaving the Canaries light in the left back department.

And they could be poised to turn to Australian full back Meredith as the solution. Meredith’s contract at Valley Parade is due to run out in the summer and the Bantams are keen to tie him down to a new deal.

However, Norwich may test the Yorkshire club’s patience with an approach for the twice-capped Aussie international.

SIMON JONES: Manchester City midfielder Bruno Zuculini has completed a medical ahead of signing for Hellas Verona.

The 23-year-old Argentine joined City from Racing in 2014 but has made just one appearance for them in the Community Shield defeat to Arsenal. He has since been on loan at Valencia, Cordoba, Middlesbrough, AEK Athens and this season at Rayo Vallecano.

Zuculini will  join on an initial loan with view to a £3million permanent deal. His brother Franco also plays for Verona.

Meanwhile, City coach Pep Guardiola is looking to strengthen his defence this month and is working with Txiki Begiristain to identify the right targets.

JOE BERNSTEIN: Portsmouth have made an enquiry for Northern Ireland international defender Ryan McLaughlin at Oldham Athletic.

League Two Pompey, who won the FA Cup as recently as 2008, are desperate to cement promotion this season and are currently just two points off an automatic promotion spot in fourth place.

The versatile McLaughlin, 24, started his career at Liverpool and has appeared as right-back, left wing-back and right-winger for Oldham this season.

Carroll, 24, has agreed terms on a permanent switch away from Tottenham after first joining the club’s academy in 2008. He will cost an initial £4million and returns to the Liberty Stadium after a loan spell in the 2014-15 season.

Chinese Super League club Tianjin Quanjian were forced to give up on a deal for Monaco striker Radamel Falcao because of new rules, owner Shu Yuhui has claimed.

On Monday, the Chinese FA confirmed a series of measures in response to 'irrational' spending by clubs on transfer fees and player salaries, one of which was to reduce the number of foreign players who can appear at any given time from four to three.

SIMON JONES: AC Milan will hold further talks with Everton on Tuesday about the proposed transfer of Gerard Deulofeu.

Everton would prefer to have another forward option signed before they allow the Spaniard to move on.

Deulofeu arrived at Goodison Park on loan from Barcelona in 2013, before returning to his parent club and subsequently being loaned to Sevilla the following season.
