Arsenal must convince Alexis Sanchez he will win trophies if he signs a new deal - he'll have no interest in China, insist Lee Dixon and Roy Keane

Arsenal hero Lee Dixon believes the club will not have a problem in keeping Alexis Sanchez away from China but will have to convince him he can win trophies if he signs a new deal at the Emirates.

As revealed by Sportsmail, the Gunners star has used an astonishing £400,000-per-week offer from China to try and get the club to smash their wage structure to keep him.

However, Dixon and fellow ITV pundit Roy Keane believe any decisions Sanchez makes regarding his future will not be about money.

Asked about Arsenal's chances of tying down star players Sanchez and Mesut Ozil to the club, former Manchester United midfielder Keane said: ‘Surely it won't just be about money for these players [Sanchez and Ozil].

'There will be a couple of things on their mind. They'll be looking at if their club is capable of going on to win trophies in the next few years. Will Wenger's contract which expires come into the equation?

'It won’t just be about money. Forget China, you don't want to be going to China.'

Dixon agreed with Keane and believes Arsenal will be able to keep Sanchez - who has 18 months remaining on his contract - despite mega offers from Asia.

‘It isn't tricky is it? How much do you want?' said the former Arsenal right back.

'The way you speak to Sanchez is "it's China". You're still at the peak of your powers, you do not want to be going anywhere other than the Premier League. He's been in Spain, now in the Premier League. He wants to stay.

'If it's about money it's disgusting but it won't be about money. It will be about what Roy said.'
