Without a league title win since 2004, Arsenal fans may insist that their greatest memories are in the past - which could be why club has released a range of retro shirts to commemorate the glory days.
Current Gunners stars Alexis Sanchez, Aaron Ramsey and Olivier Giroud were chosen to model three of the most memorable shirts in the club's history that precede even Arsene Wenger's 20-year spell in north London.
Ramsey and Sanchez have sported the 1988/89 home and away kits respectively, which was the year that Arsenal won arguably the most dramatic finish to a First Division title in history - although Sergio Aguero may argue otherwise.

The season, which was so sensational that it even spurned Nick Hornby's best-selling book Fever Pitch, culminated with Arsenal travelling to Anfield to face holders and league leaders Liverpool on the final day of the campaign.
A draw would have guaranteed the title stayed on Merseyside, while underdogs Arsenal had to win by a two-goal margin to complete the unexpected.
Alan Smith gave the Gunners the lead but the game looked lost until the final minute when Michael Thomas, wearing the yellow and navy away shirt, popped up to score and clinch the title on goal difference.

Among those players in manager George Graham's title winning team were the club's famed back four of Tony Adams, Steve Bould, Lee Dixon and Nigel Winterburn while the midfield included the likes of Paul Merson, Paul Davis, Brian Marwood and David Rocastle with Smith leading the attack with 23 league goals.
The classic shirt sported by Giroud, meanwhile, was worn by the club’s Double winners in 1970/71 season. Before that season the only team to win the league title and FA Cup in the same season were Arsenal's hated north London rivals Tottenham.

Manager Bertie Mee emulated that feat with a team that included George Graham, Charlie George, Frank McLintock and Pat Rice - claiming the First Division title with a 1-0 win over Spurs at White Hart Lane before heading to Wembley to face Liverpool.
Graham and George wasted opportunities before the game went into extra time, but it was Liverpool's Steve Heighway who opened the scoring.
However, Arsenal showed a resilience that has been questioned in recent times to equalise through Eddie Kelly before George beat Reds keeper Ray Clemence from 20 yards to seal the team's place in history.
Details of where to buy these shirts can be found on the club's official website.
