ARSENAL

Looking for: Striker, full back, attacking midfielder

Already in: Granit Xhaka (Borussia Monchengladbach, £35m)

Arsene Wenger looked to finish his business early this summer and tied up Granit Xhaka from Borussia Monchengladbach in late May. He had hoped to seal Jamie Vardy as well, but the England forward decided to stay at Leicester City.

The Gunners have also been linked with moves for Alvaro Morata and Switzerland left-back Ricardo Rodriguez, while still casting their net wide for another playmaker. Alexandre Lacazette is a name which won't go away.

BOURNEMOUTH

Looking for: Wide midfielder, central midfielder

Already in: Nathan Ake (Chelsea, loan), Emerson Hyndman (Fulham, free), Lys Mousset (La Havre, £5.4m)

Busy few weeks for Eddie Howe after he made it clear a potential switch to Southampton did not interest him. Has strengthened at the back with Ake and Hyndman, while the £5.4m arrival of Mousset offsets Lee Tomlin's departure.

Now turn their attentions to landing a wide man with Matt Ritchie's seemingly imminent exit to Newcastle United. Still interested in Leeds United midfielder Lewis Cook, although Garry Monk looks ready to keep their prized asset. The Cherries had been looking at Aston Villa's Jordan Veretout - and are pondering Reading's Oliver Norwood after his displays for Northern Ireland.

BURNLEY

Looking for: Central midfielder, central defender, goalkeeper

Already in: n/a

Quiet one at Turf Moor thus far. They had planned to go in for Alan Judge at Brentford until his horror leg break back in April - but could look at him later in the window. Sean Dyche does not want to lose any of his players but faces a fight to keep hold of Michael Keane, a target for Leicester.

Ben Mee is also wanted by West Brom, with Sheffield Wednesday's Tom Lees lined up as a potential replacement for either. Charlie Adam of Stoke is a target as Burnley attempt to fill Joey Barton's void, but there are reservations as to whether he would fit into Dyche's rigid 4-4-2. Scouted Southend stopper Dan Bentley.

CHELSEA

Antonio Conte knows he needs additional firepower, with Marseille's Michy Batshuayi ready to seal a move to Stamford Bridge after Chelsea gazumped London rivals Tottenham to the Belgian in a £33m switch. Gonzalo Higuain at Napoli is another one they like.

Having serious difficulties trying to prise Belgian Radja Nainggolan out of Roma and saw another £33m bid rejected, so have moved on to his international team-mate Axel Witsel. Conte is likely to see if he can lure one of his Italian defenders to the capital too.

CRYSTAL PALACE

Looking for: Striker, central defender, winger, goalkeeper

Already in: Andros Townsend (Newcastle, £13m), Steve Mandanda (Marseille, £1.5m)

Audacious offer for Batshuayi was knocked back by the player himself as Alan Pardew is handed a fair old war chest to spend before the end of August. He wants an English centre half - James Tomkins is one name mentioned - although recognises Palace could be priced out and as such has watched Jerome Onguene at Sochaux.

Pardew knows he needs more goals from his attacking players. Christian Benteke at Liverpool is one they would be willing to spend big on despite a tricky year at Anfield.

End product from wide areas has been another problem and they have strengthened with Andros Townsend sealing a £13million move from Newcastle.

They have also swooped for France goalkeeper Steve Mandanda ‒ with the 31-year-old agreeing a three-year contract at the Premier League club.

EVERTON

Looking for: Central defender, goalkeeper, central midfielder, forward

Already in: n/a

Tim Howard has finally left the building, leaving Joel Robles all alone. Not for long - Maarten Stekelenburg of Fulham and Tim Krul at Newcastle are both targets. Ronald Koeman is also after more defensive steel - Scott Dann at Palace always a target - but has focused plenty of attention on striking options thus far.

Porto's Vincent Aboubakar and Simone Zaza at Juventus have both been linked, while Witsel is a player they admire in midfield.

Have been offered Real Madrid's Mateo Kovacic and would like to sign Morgan Schneiderlin from Manchester United.

HULL CITY

Looking for: Full back, forward

Already in: n/a

Biggest signing this summer will be keeping hold of manager Steve Bruce, who appeared ready for an exit after the Championship play-off final victory at Wembley. They will worry about losing Andrew Robertson, while Ross McCormack is a player Bruce admires. Whether they will be willing to part with around £12m remains to be seen.

Manchester United's Phil Jones is another who has been named as a target over the last month.

LEICESTER CITY

Looking for: Attacking midfielder, central midfielder, central defender, striker

Already in: Ron-Robert Zieler (Hannover, £2.6m), Luis Hernandez (Sporting Gijon, free), Raul Uche Rubio (Rayo Vallecano)

Tough-tackling Nampalys Mendy is said to have agreed to a move from Nice as mystery surrounds N'Golo Kante's future with the Premier League champions. They like Burnley's Keane, formerly of Manchester United, and have seen bids knocked back for him as Claudio Ranieri aims to freshen up the back four.

Robbie Brady's Euro 2016 exploits have seen him draw attention.

Hatem Ben Arfa is a surprise name linked as he leaves Nice. Ranieri saw some mammoth offers for Watford striker Troy Deeney turned down too.

LIVERPOOL

Looking for: Full back, wide midfielder, central midfielder

Already in: Sadio Mane (Southampton, £30m), Lorius Karius (Mainz, £4.6m), Joel Matip (Schalke, free)

Business being done early and more to come at Anfield. Bids have gone in for Leicester's Ben Chilwell - they may look at Hull's Robertson or Leeds United's Charlie Taylor if that fails to materialise.

So too for Udinese midfielder Piotr Zelinski and Borussia Monchengladbach's Mahmoud Dahoud.

MANCHESTER CITY

Looking for: Central defender, forward, full back, goalkeeper

Already in: Ilkay Gundogan (Borussia Dortmund, £21m), Aaron Mooy (Melbourne City), Nolito (Celta Vigo, £14m)

Nolito has completed his switch from Celta Vigo for £14million. John Stones is still on City's radar as Pep Guardiola looks towards ball-playing centre-halves.

Leroy Sane from Schalke has bubbled under the surface for the last month. They should also find out sooner rather than later whether an £8m bid to land teenager Marlos Moreno from Colombia has been successful as expected. He will be loaned out for the season should that go through.

Toni Kroos rejected the notion he could be on his way out of Real Madrid and other reports in Spain suggested Guardiola may look to Claudio Bravo as another goalkeeping option. Croatian youngster Ante Coric is one they hope to land too.

MANCHESTER UNITED

Looking for: Central midfielder, attacking midfielder, full back

Already in: Zlatan Ibrahimovic (PSG, free), Eric Bailly (Villarreal, £30m)

Ibrahimovic confirmed his free transfer on Thursday, with United now intensifying their efforts to re-sign Paul Pogba from Juventus - a deal which would cost them more than £80m.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan will arrive from Dortmund for upwards of £30m as Jose Mourinho looks to shape his squad before the pre-season tour of Asia. Expected to look at a right back from abroad in the coming weeks.

MIDDLESBROUGH

Looking for: Goalkeeper, central midfielder, striker

Already in: Viktor Fischer (Ajax, £3.8m), Bernardo Espinosa (Sporting Gijon, free)

Have tried to raid their North East rivals Sunderland for Lee Cattermole, and also fancy Krul between the sticks. Newcastle signed their other goalkeeping targets, Matz Sels. Were hopeful of bringing James Morrison back to the Riverside but he signed a new contract at West Brom instead.

Aitor Karanka wants more options up front after deciding to keep Jordan Rhodes. Brad Guzan could be a target in goal.

SOUTHAMPTON

Looking for: Back-up goalkeeper, attacking midfielder, central defender, central midfielder

Already in: Nathan Redmond (Norwich, £11m)

Might have sorted Redmond from the relegated Canaries, but Saints feel more attacking players are required. New boss Claude Puel will be handed funds and the club has talked with Stuttgart about winger Filip Kostic over a £12m switch.

Sofiane Boufal from Lyon is also of interest, the Moroccan international would cost £18m. Desperate for a new centre half and feel Fraser Forster needs a No 2. Need a replacement for Victor Wanyama.

STOKE CITY

Looking for: Striker, central defender

Mark Hughes feels he can nurture Saido Berahino into realising his talent as they discuss a move from West Brom at what would be a cut price given his contract situation.

Hughes does not particularly want to lose Adam should Burnley firm up their interest, but could be on the lookout for a centre midfielder. He had eyes on Tomkins at West Ham at the back. Nevan Subotic might also be an option.

Shock link with former Manchester United winger Nani on Thursday. Hughes could cash in one some of his bigger names this summer.

SUNDERLAND

Looking for: Striker, defender

Already in: n/a

Surprisingly, Sam Allardyce has not done any business as yet. There is still hope of sealing Diafra Sakho from West Ham, but his club want to tie up a replacement first.

Yann M'Vila, on loan last season, is training alone at Rubin Kazan and looks set to join the Black Cats permanently. They have also been linked with Subotic at Dortmund.

Mike van der Hoorn, a centre half from Ajax, is close to joining but cards are being kept close to chests at the Liberty Stadium. Another club on the hunt for a striker - they managed to offload Alberto Paloschi to Atlanata.

Leroy Fer is close to swapping QPR for South Wales on a permanent basis.

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR

Looking for: Striker

Already in: Victor Wanyama (Southampton, £11m)

Fairly well set but everybody is after a striker and Spurs are no different. Thought they had Batshuayi sewn up before Chelsea swooped late in the day.

Have moved on to Vincent Janssen at AZ Alkmaar, but bids have fallen short of the asking price for him. Also looked at Sporting Gijon's Antonio Sanabria, who turned down Barcelona.

WATFORD

Looking for: Striker, defender

Already in: Pervis Estupinan (Udinese, loan), Jerome Sinclair (Liverpool, £4m bosman), Christian Kabasele (Genk, £5.8m)

Odion Ighalo's future will probably dominate the summer - they are reported to have turned down an astronomical bid from China for him - and Isaac Success is on his way in from Granada.

On Friday, the Hornets confirmed the £5.8m signing of Belgium international Christian Kabasele on a five-year contract from Genk. The central defender, 25, will remain with the Belgium squad who face Wales on Friday.

WEST BROM

Tony Pulis is an admirer of Matt Phillips at QPR, with Mee from Burnley on their radar too.

They have made enquiries about Borja Baston's availability at Atletico Madrid in the quest for more goals, while Mathieu Debuchy is another target.

WEST HAM

Looking for: Winger, full back, striker

Already in: Sofiane Feghouli (Valencia, free), Havard Nordtveit (Borussia Monchengladbach, free), Toni Martinez (Valencia, £2.3m)

Kovacic has been offered their way as well as Everton, with a number of strikers also linked with moves to the Olympic Stadium.

Ashley Fletcher at Manchester United is one, AC Milan's Carlos Bacca another. Mario Gomez has been mentioned after a stunning season with Besiktas.
