ALVARO MORATA Juventus

Arsene Wenger has a long-held interest in Morata and has asked to be kept informed as Real Madrid look to trigger his buy-back clause then spark an auction.

The striker has been mentioned in Madrid's negotiations for Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba while Chelsea, both Manchester clubs and PSG are also keen on the Spain international forward.

Chances of signing: 2/5

SEHROU GUIRASSY - Lille

Exciting 20-year-old is another that has been recommended to Arsene Wenger by his old friends in Lille and Auxerre where Guirassy was on loan last season. Scouts have watched Guirassy play on either wing or as a central striker and he scored eight goals in 16 games for Auxerre. Not the finished article but has potential.

Chances of signing: 3/5

SAIDO MANESouthampton

Arsene Wenger has been a fan of the former Red Bull Salzburg frontman for some time.

Mane has strong interest from Liverpool while Manchester United and Tottenham remain in the frame.

His consistency has been questioned but Southampton want £35million all the same. Loans such as Calum Chambers, or swaps, could potentially lessen any outlay.

MARIO GOTZEBayern Munich

The Germany international has been pursued by Liverpool this summer but Arsenal made enquiries in March and have not gone away.

Gotze wants to stay and fight for his place but opportunities are limited.

Like another target Henrikh Mkhitaryan at Dortmund, Gotze is not an orthodox striker but would fit into Arsenal's style and reasonably priced at around £22million.

Chances of signing: 2/5

MICHY BATSHUAYIMarseille

The Belgian is one of several other options Arsenal have checked on in recent months. He has a decent goalscoring record but lacks a physical edge.

AZ Alkmaar's Vincent Janssen is cheaper and perhaps stronger but Arsenal know Tottenham and West Ham are also keen.

Aleksandr Kokorin at Zenit and Luciano Vietto at Atletico have also been discussed but are not prolific.

Chances of signing: 2/5

GONZALO HIGUAINNapoli

The dream ticket, he has scored 71 goals in 104 games for Napoli including 36 last season. His goals would make Arsenal a different proposition at home and abroad but they face competition from Europe's biggest spenders.

Napoli want him to sign a new contract, he is 28 and would cost £65m. Unless they can prise away Aubameyang, Lewandowski or Benzema, Higuain is the best in the market place.
