Chelsea fear Manchester United are ready to hijack their swoop for goalkeeper Asmir Begovic.

The Blues have been locked in talks with the Potters in an attempt to agree a fee for the Bosnian.

Chelsea have made the capture of Begovic a priority and have pushed hard to complete a deal over the past few days.
And their urgency to strike an agreement with Stoke stems from concern that arch-rivals United are plotting their own move for the keeper.

And Mourinho wants a deal wrapped up as soon as possible to avoid going head-to-head with Van Gaal for Begovic.
Chelsea, who have already had a £6million bid rejected by the Stoke, will intensify their efforts to land the 28-year-old this week.
Begovic will look to resolve his future in the coming days.
He is likely to be back-up to Thibault Courtois if he agrees a move to Stamford Bridge.
The Blues have made an official enquiry to Stoke regarding a £6million offer for the shot-stopper
And it is understood Begovic still needs convincing that a move to the Blues is the best for his career.
The Blues are likely to table an £8million offer for Begovic in the next few days.
But knowing Begovic is in demand this summer, Stoke want in the region of £10million for their keeper and believe United will move for the keeper if De Gea's move to Spain.
Stoke want a Chelsea player on loan as part of a deal, though an agreement on which player is still to be reached.
