Tottenham striker Harry Kane admits he got goosebumps the first time he heard fans sing his name.
Kane has scored 20 Premier League goals - plus another 17 in cup competitions - during an impressive campaign which has led to fans regularly chanting 'he's one of our own' this season.
The 21-year-old, who scored just 79 seconds into his England debut, was also named PFA Young Player of the Year last month.
Harry Kane admits he get goosebumps when Tottenham fans sing 'he's one of our own'
The Tottenham striker first heard the chant when he conceded against Asteras Tripoli in the Europa League
Kane volunteered to go in goal following the dismissal of keeper Hugo Lloris during October's group game
Speaking in the June 2015 issue of FourFourTwo, the Tottenham forward said of the chant: 'The first time I heard it was after I let in the goal (against Asteras Tripoli)
'I could hear it from the bench before I came on (at Villa Park) and it sent a shiver down my spine. I've never sung it myself, but I've hummed it walking out of the stadium to my car.'
Becoming the first Tottenham player since Gary Lineker to score 30 goals in one season, Kane is confident of finding the back of the net every time he steps on the pitch.
'I wouldn't say I expect to score every time I walk on the pitch, but if I don't then I'm disappointed,' he said.
'There'll always be games where you don't score, and the key is how you respond to that the following week. That's been something I've done well this season; if I've gone two or three games without scoring, I've been able to eventually get a goal and then get another little run going.'
Kane is denied by Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart during Tottenham's 1-0 home defeat on Sunday
