Adam Le Fondre is keen to get back among the goals having joined Bolton on loan from Cardiff until the end of the season.

The 28-year-old striker joined the Bluebirds from Reading on a three-year-deal during the summer but has managed just three goals in 23 league appearances this season.

Having joined Neil Lennon's in-form Bolton for the rest of the campaign, Le Fondre said on Twitter: 'Looking forward to kick starting my season with Bolton, like to thank all the Cardiff City staff and fans for all the support!

Liverpool had scouts at St Etienne against Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday night. Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored the only goal with Liverpool reportedly checking on Ezequiel Lavezzi.

The Argentine is available for £12m but wants Champions League football. 

He came on as a late substitute for Edinson Cavani getting nine minutes on the pitch. Manchester United target Marquinhos again played at right back.

Real Madrid have stepped into the race for Athletic Bilbao's Aymeric Laporte. 

The 20-year-old France international has been on Manchester United's radar also for the past couple of seasons but with Pepe getting older and Sergio Ramos debating a new contract, Madrid have made the first steps to taking him to the Bernabeu.

The deal won't be cheap though with Bilbao refusing to negotiate and typically pointing to his buyout clause of £31.5m plus the VAT. Laporte has potential and is a great athlete but is still a little raw.

Crystal Palace and Reading are among the clubs showing an interest in Nemanja Nikolic of Videoton.

The Serbian-born Hungary international striker has been in prolific form this season with Videoton, scoring 16 goals in just 15 games yet is available for a bargain £500,000.

It is no flash in the pan either as his statistics prove. He has been consistent throughout his career with a record of 154 goals in 172 starts in all competitions for Kaposvar and Videoton, a goal every 99.8 minutes.

Shaun Maloney has completed his move to MLS side Chicago Fire from Championship Wigan.

The Scotland international had been at Wigan for three and a half years and was part of the team that beat Manchester City to win the FA Cup in 2013.

Maloney, who was 32 on Saturday, has signed for the MLS side and will be officially presented as team's third Designated Player - alongside David Accam and Kennedy Igboananike - on Monday.

They have plenty of interest in Danny Ings but the striker is still intent on seeing the season out and taking stock of his situation in the summer.

Ings has offers from Germany, Spain and England with Manchester City one of the clubs to have shown an interest as they consider their homegrown quota.

Arsenal scout Gilles Grimandi watched French league leaders Lyon beat Metz 2-0 on Sunday. Grimandi has been keeping a close eye on Alexandre Lacazette and Nabil Fekir, two players admired by Manchester City, while Metz winger Yeni N'Gbakoto has also been earning rave reviews. 

However, the other notable performance on Sunday came from Maxime Gonalons the defensive midfielder who has been on Arsenal's wishlist for the past two seasons.

The France international, 25, has been a key figure in Lyon's rise to the top of Ligue 1. Lyon need money but are reluctant to sell while four points clear of Marseille and PSG.

Wolfsburg delegates are in London hoping to thrash out a deal for Chelsea midfielder Andre Schurrle.

The Germany international, who wants to leave Stamford Bridge, was left out of Chelsea’s FA Cup squad which lost to Bradford on Saturday.

And Wolfsburg representatives met with Schurrle’s father Joachim on Monday in the hope of finalising a deal.

Stoke manager Mark Hughes has asked about the availability of Sandro Ramirez from Barcelona B after watching the teenager in action against Osasuna on Sunday.

Hughes, who is in discussions over a new two-year contract extension at Stoke, was at the Mini Estadi to take in Barcelona B's 1-0 defeat in the Spanish Segunda Division.

Fabian Delph was attracting interest from several sides before committing his future to Aston Villa. 

Villa chief executive Tom Fox has told Sportsmail: 'There were a lot of interested clubs. We’ve got a top young player here. The top five clubs are in a much better place financially.'

Millwall have signed Southampton defender Jos Hooiveld on loan until the end of the season.

Hooiveld has become Ian Holloway's sixth signing of the window.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has pretty much ruled out the possibility of bolstering his squad during the current window.

Rodgers said: 'Nothing at all. I don't think we'll be doing any business no.

West Ham have extended the trial of Swedish centre back Marcus Nilsson.

The 26-year-old spent last week training with Sam Allardyce's first-team squad and impressed the coaching staff enough to be invited to stay for another week.

Nilsson, who has been capped once by Sweden, is 6ft 4in tall and decent on the ball. He now hopes to do well enough to earn a contract.

Gabriel Paulista has been granted a UK work permit, clearing the path for him to complete an £11.2million switch to Arsenal.

The Villarreal defender is completing his medical and provided the procedure doesn't flag up any issues, the 24-year-old will complete his move to the Emirates on Monday.

Real Madrid have completed the signing of Lucas Silva from Brazilian club Cruzeiro.

Silva, who passed his medical earlier today, has signed a deal until June 2020.

Talking of potential Manchester United exits, Darren Fletcher remains on West Ham's January wishlist despite there being interest from a number of teams from around Europe. 

The Hammers are hoping to sign Fletcher before next Monday's deadline. 

Manchester United will have to beat off competition from PSG if they are to keep hold of 
Andreas Pereira. 

The French giants have stepped up their interest in the Brazilian teenager as the 19-year-old is out of contract in the summer.

PSG made a move for Adnan Januzaj in the summer but were unable to convince Manchester United into selling the winger.

'Chelsea have offered Mohamed Salah to Fiorentina again as they continue discussions over the £26.8million transfer of Juan Cuadrado.

'Wolfsburg delegates will be in London today discussing the £23m departure of Andre Schurrle with his father Joachim and the finalisation of that deal will allow Chelsea to take stock of what finance they wish to push into the Cuadrado deal.' 

Aston Villa utility man Chris Herd has joined Wigan until the end of the season.

Latics boss Malky Mackay appears to be looking forward to working with Herd. He said: 'His energy, athleticism and tenacity will be things that can really help us out.'

The Magpies paid Montpellier £6.7million for Yanga-Mbiwa in 2013 but he failed to impress on Tyneside and will leave for a fee in the region of £5.2m.

The four-times-capped centre-back made 46 appearances for United but lost his place in the France senior side following his move to St James’.

Crystal Palace have stolen ahead of West Bromwich Albion in the pursuit of Shola Ameobi.

Alan Pardew is keen to link up with the striker he knows from his Newcastle United days and bolster his attacking options.

Manchester United and Chelsea have received a boost in the race to sign Juventus' Paul Pogba as Juventus manager Massimo Allegri has admitted 'everything in life has a price'.

He said: 'I think Pogba scored an extraordinary goal and the second goal was an equally extraordinary assist.

'Everything in life has a price, unfortunately. I don't think it is a problem we need to consider right now.

'It is difficult to replace world class players, but it can be done, as football goes on.' 

Manchester United, who allowed Pogba to leave on a FREE transfer in 2012, has been linked with a £77m move for the Frenchman during the last few weeks.

West Brom manager Tony Pulis is close to completing a £4.75million deal for Wigan Athletic winger Callum McManaman.

Pulis is said to be keen on bolstering his wide options during the window and he has identified McManaman as the man to improve his squad.

The biggest move of the window so far has been Wilfried Bony's £28million transfer from Swansea to Manchester City.

Swans director John van Zweden believes Bony is unlikely to play much football at the Etihad Stadium despite his recent mega-money move.

Van Zweden said: 'We will miss the goals from Wilfried Bony a lot. The most frustrating thing is that he will sit on the Manchester City bench.' 

Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Douglas Costa has issued a come-and-get-me plea to Chelsea by stating his desire to play under Jose Mourinho. 

Costa said: 'To play at Chelsea is a dream for any player. It is standing next to some of the best players in the world and competing with the world's best as well.

'But really, what catches my eye is the coach. He is a very intelligent coach and has been victorious wherever he went. One of the things that would make me happier to act at Chelsea would be this.'

The Blues are said to be keen on signing both Costa and Juan Cuadrado before the window shuts on February 2.

Arsene Wenger has confirmed Gabriel Paulista's switch to Arsenal from Villarreal is expected to be completed on Monday.

The Gunners have agreed a £13.5million deal to take the Brazilian and despite initials fears regarding a work permit for the Brazilian, the Arsenal boss is confident the move will go through on Monday.

Speaking after the Gunners' 3-2 FA Cup victory over Brighton, Arsenal boss Wenger confirmed to BT Sport: 'They (the reports) are accurate. It is very, very close and it should be done tomorrow.'
