Jose Mourinho right to prioritise Europe over Premier League
Will Jose Mourinho really play a weakened team at Anfield on Sunday? I’ll believe it when I see it.
It feels like more mind games from Jose, but he has always gone to extreme lengths to win and I have no problem with that.

Ringing the changes: Jose Mourinho has threatened to play Chelsea's reserves against Liverpool
With Chelsea five points behind Liverpool, he may have decided that the title is gone and he has a much better chance of winning the Champions League. If that’s the case, then that is fine by me.
If Chelsea were level on points with Liverpool, would he dream of playing a weaker side? Absolutely not.
But let’s not feel sorry for Chelsea here. Yes, they will be without their No 1 keeper and their captain, but any weakened Chelsea side will not be that weak. They have spent hundreds of millions assembling this squad so whichever side they pick will have experienced, household names.
The league will not be won or lost for Chelsea on Sunday. It’s their results against the likes of Crystal Palace and Sunderland that have put them in this position, and the same goes for Manchester City.
A Chelsea win would do City a favour but there’s no love lost between Jose and Manuel Pellegrini, so it wouldn’t surprise me if he would rather Liverpool win the title anyway.
If he rests players and then Chelsea beat Atletico Madrid to reach the Champions League final, it will have been a good decision.
Even with his best side available, I still think Liverpool would win the game. If Jose feels they have a better chance in Europe then that is his decision.
