Palace hope loan rule doesn't scupper chances of signing Zaha from United
Crystal Palace want to re-sign Wilfried Zaha on loan until the end of the season but their hopes are being threatened by Premier League red tape.
Regulations permit clubs to only have two loanees from fellow Premier League sides and the South London club already have Cameron Jerome and Jason Puncheon on loan from Stoke and Southampton, respectively.
On the move: Wilfried Zaha looks set to leave Manchester United on loan in the transfer window
Nevertheless, Palace remain serious about the prospect of signing Zaha and manager Tony Pulis may look to turn Puncheon’s loan in to a permanent deal.
Palace have moved quickly in the race to land Zaha after a switch to Cardiff fell through following the departure of Malky Mackay.
The Scot was confident he had secured a temporary deal for Zaha, who left Selhurst Park in the summer, following talks with United.

But that deal, for the moment, has collapsed while the Bluebirds continue their search for a new manager.
Meanwhile, Palace want Blackburn Rovers defender Scott Dann in a £4million deal and are also looking at Wolves goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey, but may have to outbid West Ham and Liverpool.
Kevin Phillips will leave Selhurst Park in January.
