The name's Bond... Rio Bond! United defender Ferdinand eyes role playing secret agent
Rio Ferdinand is planning for a career after football – as the first black James Bond.
The Manchester United defender is dreaming of a move to Hollywood when his Old Trafford career is over and sees himself as an all-action hero.
And if the 34-year-old can’t land the role as successor to Daniel Craig, he’d happily settle for playing Luther.
Career change? Rio Ferdinand fancies replacing Daniel Craig as James Bond
‘I’d go for an emotional part, something off the wall,’ he told FourFourTwo.
‘I’ve got too much for a henchman role. I’d need for it to be, I dunno, like Luther.
‘Or if they’re looking for a new James Bond, I wouldn’t say that’s out of my comfort zone at all.’
