Ray Wilkins has shown Antonio Conte how to shake hands

Wilkins was appearing on Sky Sports News today to discuss the big Premier League talking point - including the handshake that wasn't.

Conte chose to celebrate with Chelsea players on the pitch after they beat Manchester United 1-0 at Stamford Bridge rather than shake Mourinho's hand.

So Wilkins took matters into his own hands - literally - by giving a live TV demo on how to do so.

Conte and Mourinho begrudgingly shook hands before kick-off but Wilkins said: "That's not a handshake is it? When you shake hands with someone..."

Sky Sports host Rob Wotton then interrupts Wilkins and says: "Let us try."

Ray Wilkins says Antonio Conte lost dignity during the win over Man Utd

Wilkins then jumps into action, leans forward to shake Wotton's hand and says: "You look at someone's face and give them a handshake."

Mourinho responded to Conte's apparent handshake snub by saying that congratulating Conte's assistant had been enough.

But Wilkins said: "Course they should have shook hands because that's the way the game is played.

"You are enemies during the game but when the game is finished, you go over and shake the guy's hands and say unlucky or well done.

"Conte should shake hands because the game is finished, the game is done and dusted. You shake his hand and go and celebrate with your players after.

"I thought Antonio should have shown a little bit more dignity at the end of the game and gone and shook Mourinho's hands.

"He was there, he was waiting for it, but it never materialised unfortunately.

"There's a little bit that's been going about between these two guys in the last few weeks and it's just festered.

"The media also catch up on it and they emphasise the fact these two aren't getting on.

"You saw at the start of the game - there was no eye contact whatsoever so that tells me these two guys aren't getting on.

"But when the game is finished, the dignity is to go and shake the guy's hand."
