Chelsea News: Antonio Conte being ripped apart by Blues chiefs after secret meeting

CHELSEA chiefs are ripping apart Antonio Conte behind the scenes, according to reports.

Antonio Conte insists he's happy at Chelsea amid exit rumours

Chelsea have endured a rocky start to the new season, with the pressure mounting on Conte as a result.

The Italian masterminded their Premier League triumph last year, scooping the prize at the first time of asking.

But, after recent setbacks against Manchester City, Crystal Palace and Roma, Conte’s Stamford Bridge future has been plunged into uncertainty.

And the Sun say Chelsea chiefs are furious with him behind the scenes, with some predicting the same old excuses after every poor result.

It is said Chelsea technical director Michael Emenalo was summoned to a post-match meeting after the Blues’ 3-3 draw with Serie A giants Roma in midweek.

He supposedly did not return until 3am in the morning, so severe is the crisis currently at Chelsea.

Additionally, the Sun say Chelsea chiefs are predicting Conte will use excuses such as injuries and fixture congestion as a means of explaining their poor run.

After their 1-0 defeat to City at the end of last month, one Chelsea figure thought he would use ‘fixture congestion’ as the reason why.

And he happened to predict correctly, with Conte saying before the game: “Honestly, in this case we are a bit penalised and I think it’s very important before taking a decision like this to analyse the different situations of the teams.

”Don’t forget, Manchester City played yesterday at home. We played tonight, away.

Chelsea News: Michael Emenalo had a secret meeting where Antonio Conte was discussed

“For sure, we will return to London around 4 a.m. To have only one day to prepare for this type of game is not right.

“Above all because, now, it’s an international break. Honestly, I‘m very surprised to see that this game we have to play on Saturday, not on Sunday.”

Conte recently hit back at comments made by predecessor Jose Mourinho after the Manchester United manager appeared to accuse him of whinging.

“If he is speaking about me, I think he has to think about his team and start looking at himself, not others,” the Italian said.

"I think that a lot of times Mourinho has to see what happens at Chelsea - a lot of time, also last season.”
